Monwar Hossain Munna
Monwar Hossain Munna (; born 1 October 1977). alternatively spelled Manowar Hossain Munna, is a retired Bangladeshi footballer. He represented the Bangladesh national team from 1995 to 1999. Club career Munna began his career in the Dhaka First Division League with East End Club in 1993. He helped the club gain promotion to the Premier Division within two seasons and eventually joined Mohammedan SC in 1996. He also had a stint with Indian club Mahindra United, where he won the prestigious Durand Cup trophy, defeating East Bengal in the final. International career In 1995, German coach Otto Pfister included Munna in the squad for the 4-nation Tiger Trophy in Myanmar. On 26 October 1995, he made his debut against hosts Myanmar in the first round-robin game where Bangladesh were defeated 0–4. Mahindra United Football Club (formerly known as Mahindra & Mahindra) was an Indian professional football club based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Otto Pfister
Otto Martin Pfister (born 24 November 1937) is a German former football manager and one of Germany's most successful coaching exports, voted Africa's ''Manager of the Year'' in 1992. He is formerly the manager of the Afghanistan national team. Coaching career Pfister has been involved in association football for almost 60 years, he began his coaching career in Switzerland as player-coach in 1961 at the age of just 23. Pfister's early coaching experience was gained with FC Vaduz, FC St. Gallen, FC Nordstern Basel, FC Moutier and finally FC Chur 97. He has worked as head coach for 10 international football teams, eight from Africa and two from Asia. 1999 South Asian Games
The 1999 South Asian Games (or 8th SAF Games) were held in Kathmandu, Nepal (for the second time) from 25 September to 4 October 1999. King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev declared the games open amidst a grand ceremony. 1069 athletes of the different seven SAARC countries participated in the twelve sports. In the final medal count, India took first position and taking the advantages of host country Nepal amazingly took second position followed by Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives. Out of 523 medals India had the most, with 102 gold, 58 silver and 37 bronze, Nepal then took 31 gold, 10 silver and 24 bronze, Sri Lanka 16 gold 42 silver and 62 bronze, Pakistan 10 gold, 36 silver and 30 bronze, Bangladesh 2 gold, 10 silver and 35 bronze, Bhutan 1 gold, 6 silver and 7 bronze, Maldives 4 bronze.
