is a Japanese curler. She currently throws fourth stones on the Hokkaido Bank curling team. At the international level, Tabata medaled silver at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics as the third on the Japanese mixed team. Early life and education Tabata was born in Ebetsu, Hokkaido. She attended . In sixth grade, she applied for and was accepted to the Hokkaido Talent Athlete Discovery and Development Project at the recommendation of her parents. 2022 Japan Curling Championships
The 2022 Japan Curling Championships (branded as the 39th Zen-Noh Japan Curling Championships) were held from May 22 to 29 at the Tokoro Curling Club in Tokoro, Kitami, Hokkaido, Japan. Both the men's and women's events were played in a round robin format which qualified four teams for a page playoff. Because of the 2022 Winter Olympics, a World Championship Trial was held in December 2021 between three teams on the men's and women's sides to determine Japan's representatives for the 2022 World Men's Curling Championship and 2022 World Women's Curling Championship. Due to this, the Japan Curling Championships were pushed back later into the year. Tour Challenge
The Tour Challenge, known as the HearingLife Tour Challenge for sponsorship reasons, is a bonspiel, or curling tournament, which is one of the Grand Slam of Curling events. It was introduced into the Grand Slam lineup starting in the 2015–16 curling season. The event features a men's and women's draw, and is split into two tiers of 16 teams each, Tier 1 and Tier 2. From 2022 to 2023, the format consisted of four pools, where each team played all four of their games against the four teams of another pool. The top 8 teams overall made the playoffs. In 2023, tiebreakers were dropped. In 2024, the event became a Tournament#Knockout_tournaments, triple knockout event for the first time. The 2023 Japan Curling Championships (branded as the 40th Zen-Noh Japan Curling Championships) were held from January 29 to February 5 at the Tokoro Curling Club in Tokoro, Kitami, Hokkaido, Japan. Yoshinobu Miyake
is a retired Japanese weightlifter and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Lieutenant. He won one silver and two gold medals at the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Olympics and finished fourth in 1972. He also won world titles in 1962, 1963 and 1965–66. Between 1959 and 1969 Miyake set 25 official world records, including 10 consecutive records in the snatch and nine consecutive records in the total.
