Miss Earth Ethiopia
Miss Earth Ethiopia is the official title given to Ethiopia's delegate to the Miss Earth pageant. The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote environmental projects and to address issues concerning the environment. History The first year Ethiopia sent a representative to Miss Earth was in 2001 with Nardos Tiluhan Wondemu as the first Miss Earth Ethiopia titleholder. In 2003 the Miss Earth Ethiopia franchise was obtained by Beauties of Africa Inc, owned by Andy A. Abulime. Miss Earth Ethiopia 2003 Yodit Getahun participated in Miss Earth 2003 and won the Miss Friendship special award. Getahun was later dethroned and replaced by Muna Kidane-Mariam. From 2003 to 2008, the Ethiopian representative to Miss Earth was usually the winner of Miss Universe Ethiopia or from the Miss Millennium Queen pageant. A beauty pageant is a competition in which the contestants are judged and ranked based on various physical and mental attributes. Per its name, beauty pageants traditionally focus on judging the contestants' physical attractiveness, sometimes solely so, but most modern beauty pageants have since expanded to also judge contestants based on "inner beauty"—their individual traits and characteristics, including personality, Human intelligence, intelligence, aptitude, moral character, and Charity (practice), charity. Miss Earth 2007
Miss Earth 2007, the seventh edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 12, 2007 at the University of the Philippines Theater, on campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. 88 delegates competed for the title, making 2007 the largest edition of delegates for Miss Earth. The pageant was hosted by MTV Asia VJ Utt Panichkul, Priscilla Meirelles and Ginger Conejero. Hil Hernández from Chile crowned her successor Jessica Trisko-Darden, Jessica Trisko from Canada the end of the event. Pooja Chitgopekar from India won her second consecutive Miss Air title. Miss Earth 2024 was the 24th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the Okada Manila, in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, on November 9, 2024. Drita Ziri of Albania crowned Jessica Lane of Australia as her successor at the end of the event, marking their first victory in the pageant. Miss Earth 2023
Miss Earth 2023 was the 23rd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the Vạn Phúc City Water Music Square in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on December 22, 2023. Mina Sue Choi of South Korea crowned Drita Ziri of Albania as her successor at end of the event. This edition was the first time Albania has won the pageant, and its first crown in the Big Four international beauty pageants. At 18 years and 210 days, Ziri became the youngest winner of Miss Earth. She surpassed the inaugural titleholder Catharina Svensson, who won as Miss Earth 2001 at the age of 19. Miss Earth 2022 was the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, on 29 November 2022. The competition returned to the Philippines into a standard format for the first time since 2019, after easing travel restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Miss Earth 2021 was the 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held in various locations virtually on November 21, 2021, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Miss Earth 2018 was the 18th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, the Philippines, on November 3, 2018. Miss Earth 2010 was the 10th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the Vinpearl Land Amphitheater in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on December 4, 2010.
