Miniature Dinosaurs
Miniature Dinosaurs were a pop/rock band from Stirling, Scotland. The band consisted of Barry Maclean (Vocals/Guitar), Alban Dickson (Bass Guitar), Andrew McAllister (Guitar/Synth) and Sam Waller (Drums). Critics compared their music to the likes of The Killers, Pulp and Weezer. History In March 2009 their track '(I Want To Watch) Top Gear' was featured on BBC Radio 1, meaning the band made it to national airwaves 3 months before the outfit performed their first gig. In 2010 the band announced a clothing endorsement with Police-883, the first endorsement of its kind by the fashion company. In the same year the band appeared several times in the MTV drama ''Being Victor''. Their 2011 single Fight or Flight was picked up by Electric Honey (label) who released it as a 7" Vinyl. Stirling (; sco, Stirlin; gd, Sruighlea ) is a city in central Scotland, northeast of Glasgow and north-west of Edinburgh. Integrity Records
Integrity Records is an English independent record label based in Bedford, England. The label was founded in the early 1990s and specialises in discovering new bands in the rock/indie/punk genres. History The first release on the label was 1996 single 'Ghost Island' by The Traceys, but the label is most notable for signing bands such as Miss Black America and Million Dead, whose vocalist Frank Turner went on to forge a successful solo career. John Peel was a great supporter of the label and played the vast majority of their releases on his BBC Radio 1 show. In 2002, 5 Integrity releases (including B-sides) appeared in Peel's annual Festive Fifty. Electric Honey was founded in 1992 and is Glasgow Kelvin College's in-house record label run by Ken McCluskey (The Bluebells), Douglas MacIntyre ( Creeping Bent) and formerly Alan Rankine ( The Associates) along with students from the HNC/D Music Business course. The label celebrated its 25th year in 2017 with many events including the release of the debut album "''Any Joy''" from Scottish six-piece indie rock band; "''Pronto Mama.''" The label was described by ''Uncut'' magazine as being "''The most successful student-run label in the world''", thanks to the history of artists having releases with the imprint, including Belle & Sebastian, Snow Patrol and Biffy Clyro. Affiliate labels were also run under Electric Honey for a period of time. Gdansk, which released electronic-based artists and Root 8 which specialised in world music. The Killers
The Killers are an American Rock music, rock band formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards, bass) and Dave Keuning (lead guitar, backing vocals). After going through a number of short-term bass players and drummers in their early days, both Mark Stoermer (bass, rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) joined the band in 2002. Pulp (band)
Pulp are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 1978. Their best-known line-up from their heyday (1992–1997) consisted of Jarvis Cocker (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Russell Senior (guitar, violin), Candida Doyle (keyboards), Nick Banks (drums, percussion), Steve Mackey (bass) and Mark Webber (guitar, keyboards). Throughout the 1980s the band struggled to find success, but gained prominence in the UK in the mid-1990s with the release of the albums ''His 'n' Hers'' in 1994 and particularly '' Different Class'' in 1995, which reached the number one spot in the UK Albums Chart. Weezer
Weezer is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1992. Since 2001, the band has consisted of Rivers Cuomo (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Patrick Wilson (drums, backing vocals), Scott Shriner (bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Brian Bell (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish–Scottish rock band formed in 1994 in Dundee, Scotland.
