Mikhail Lobukhin
Mikhail Lobukhin (russian: Михаил Лобухин) is a Russian principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet. He was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. In 2002 he graduated from Vaganova Ballet Academy with a bachelor's degree in arts and the same year joined Marinsky Theatre. Eight years later he joined Bolshoi Ballet where he played many solo roles but also appeared as a ''young man'' at the ''Leningrad Symphony'', ''prince'' in Cinderella, ''Daphnis'' in '' Daphnis and Chloe'', and '' Ivan the Fool'' at the Little Humpbacked Horse among others. Principal Dancer
A principal dancer (often shortened to principal) is a dancer at the highest rank within a professional dance company, particularly a ballet company. A principal may be male or female. The position is similar to that of '' soloist''; however, principals regularly perform not only solos, but also pas de deux. Principal dancers can be hired into a dance company or can also be a company dancer that is a corps de ballet dancer that gets promoted from within the company. That process can take multiple performance seasons or even years to achieve based on skill level and company interest. It is a coveted position in the company and the most prominent position a dancer can receive. The term is used mostly in ballet but can be used in other forms as well, such as modern dance. Ivan the Fool () or Ivan the Ninny is a lucky fool stock character who appears in Russian folklore, a very simple-minded, but, nevertheless, lucky young man. Ivan is described as a likeable fair-haired and blue-eyed youth. The approximate setting of Ivan the Fool's adventures is 15th- or 16th-century Russia. Ivan the Fool usually appears in stories either as a peasant or as the son of a poor family. ''Seven Beauties'' is an Azerbaijani ballet composed by Gara Garayev in 1947–48 to mark the 800th anniversary of classical Persians/Azerbaijani's.His creative activity has strong bound with Azerbaijan literature and culture poet Nizami Ganjavi. Set in the 12th century, the libretto by I. Hidayetzade, Yuri Slonimsky and Sabit Rahman is based on motifs from Ganjavi’s ''Seven beauties'' poem, written in 1197. ''The Little Humpbacked Horse, or The Tsar Maiden'' (a.k.a. ''Konyok Gorbunok ili Tsar-Devitsa'', or ''Le Petit cheval bossu, ou La Tsar-Demoiselle'') is a ballet in four acts and eight scenes with apotheosis. Story of the ballet The libretto is by Arthur Saint-Léon, based on the fairy tale '' The Little Humpbacked Horse'' by Pyotr Yershov.
