Mads Albæk
Mads Albæk (born 14 January 1990) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for German Regionalliga club SC Weiche Flensburg 08. He has also represented the Danish national under-21 team. Youth career Born in Roskilde, Albæk began his footballing career started in the small Zealandic club, Gadstrup IF. At the age of 11, he moved to play for Herfølge Boldklub. When playing for Herfølge's youth team, Albæk was on trial at SC Heerenveen from the Netherlands, and later on, he was tested by Tottenham Hotspur from England. His talent was discovered by the Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland, who brought Albæk through the ranks of their youth academy. Danish Cup
The Danish Cup (; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "single-elimination tournament, knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The final traditionally takes place on ''Kristi Himmelfarts Dag'' (Feast of the Ascension, The Ascension) and it is always played in the Danish national stadium Parken. 2020 Danish Cup Final
The 2020 Danish Cup final was played on 1 July 2020 between SønderjyskE and AaB at Blue Water Arena, Esbjerg, a neutral ground. The final was the culmination of the 2019–20 Danish Cup, the 66th season of the Sydbank Pokalen. Originally scheduled to be played in May, the final was delayed due to the COVID-19 shutdown through Europe. SønderjyskE won its first major championship of any kind in its 13-year history, beating AaB 2–0. It was SønderjyskE's first ever appearance in the Danish Cup final. AaB appeared in its 12th Pokalen final, having previously won the cup in 1966, 1970 and 2014, finishing as runners-up for the 9th time, adding 2020 to its second-place runs in 1967, 1987, 1991, 1993, 1999, 2000, 2004 and 2009. Sønderjyske Fodbold
SønderjyskE is a Danish sport corporation. They have a football team ( SønderjyskE Fodbold, based in Haderslev), two handball teams (SønderjyskE Håndbold, one male based in Sønderborg, one female based in Aabenraa) and an ice hockey team ( SønderjyskE Ishockey, based in Vojens).
