MPBL All-Star Game
The MPBL All-Star Game is an exhibition game hosted by the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League and showcases 30 of the league's star players. It is the main event of the greater MPBL All-Star Day, held during the latter part of the regular season alongside a series of pre-game events within the same day. The first All-Star Game was played at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on March 2, 2019. The two teams, representing the two divisions (North Division (MPBL), North and South Division (MPBL), South), are composed of fifteen players from the representing division. The head coaches of the team with the best record in each division leading up to All-Star gameday are chosen to coach their respective teams. The Zamboanga Sikat (stylized as Zamboanga SiKAT), alternatively known as Sikat Zamboanga, is a Filipino professional basketball team based in Zamboanga City. The team currently competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's South Division. The team plays its home games at Mayor Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum. The team was established in 2019 after splitting from the Zamboanga Valientes due to undisclosed management issues. The new team was then named the Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines, and later renamed to Zamboanga Master Sardines in 2024. Universal Canning Inc. served as the team's title sponsor from 2019 to 2024. The Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards (shortened as NERV) are a Filipino professional basketball team based in Palayan, Nueva Ecija. The team competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's North Division. The team plays its home games at Nueva Ecija Coliseum. The team began play as an expansion team for the 2019–20 MPBL season, though they would only begin using the ''Rice Vanguards'' moniker later on. William Bill McAloney Jr. (born September 1, 1993) is a Filipino-Canadian professional basketball player for the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). In his collegiate career, he played for Emilio Aguinaldo College–Cavite and University of San Carlos; the latter with which he won the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball championship in 2015. In 2018, he joined the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League as a member of the expansion Cebu City Sharks. In 2019, after playing for the Marinerong Pilipino Skippers of the PBA D-League he was selected 15th overall in the 2019 PBA draft by the NLEX Road Warriors. The Pampanga Giant Lanterns (shortened as PGL and also known as Pampanga Giant Lanterns – AMG3 Construction for sponsorship reasons) are a Filipino professional basketball team based in San Fernando, Pampanga. Justine Sagaya Baltazar (born February 19, 1997), nicknamed "Balti", is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Converge FiberXers of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is listed at 6 feet 9 ½ inches (2.07 m). Jaycee Carlos Marcelino (born October 19, 1995) is a Filipino basketball player for the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The Batangas City Tanduay Rum Masters are a professional basketball team based in Batangas City, Batangas. The team competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's South Division. The team splits its home games between Batangas City Sports Coliseum and FPJ Arena in San Jose. They joined in 2018 as one of the founding teams of the MPBL.
