Lynn DeCoite
Lynn Pualani DeCoite (born July 24, 1970) is a member of the Hawaii State Senate for District 7, appointed by Governor David Ige to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Senator J. Kalani English. Prior to her appointment, DeCoite was a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives for District 13, since having been appointed by Governor David Ige to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of the late Representative Mele Carroll after the 2015 legislative session began. A former member of the Hawaii State Board of Agriculture, she resigned her position when appointed. Mele Carroll
Diana "Mele" Carroll (May 9, 1964 – February 18, 2015) was an American politician from Oahu, Hawaii, and a Democratic member of the Hawaii House of Representatives from February 4, 2005, to February 1, 2015, representing District 13. Carroll was initially appointed by Governor Linda Lingle to the vacancy caused by the resignation of Sol Kahoohalahala. On February 1, 2015, Carroll resigned from the Hawaii Legislature due to complications from cancer treatment. On February 18, 2015, Carroll died of cancer. Education Carroll attended Hawaiʻi Community College and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Nahiku, Hawaii
Nāhiku is a small unincorporated community in eastern Maui, Hawaii. Nāhiku is located along the Hana Road on the way to Hana at . Village has two parts: Upper Nāhiku closer to the road and Lower Nāhiku near the ocean shore. Nāhiku is usually reached by Nāhiku Road coming down from the Hana Road to Opuhano Point on Honolulunui Bay. The wooden bridge to the Nāhiku ocean shore within the last half mile of the road was closed to motor vehicles in 2014. A cockfight is a blood sport, held in a ring called a cockpit. The history of raising fowl for fighting goes back 6,000 years. Molokini
Molokini is a crescent-shaped, partially submerged volcanic crater which forms a small, uninhabited islet located in ʻAlalākeiki Channel between the islands of Maui and Kahoolawe, within Maui County in Hawaii. It is the remains of one of the seven Pleistocene epoch volcanoes that formed the prehistoric Maui Nui island, during the Quaternary Period of the Cenozoic Era. Kahoolawe
Kahoolawe (Hawaiian: ), anglicized as Kahoolawe (), is the smallest of the eight main volcanic islands in the Hawaiian Islands. Kahoolawe is located about southwest of Maui and also southeast of Lānaʻi, and it is long by wide, with a total land area of .
