Lidia Postma
Lidia Postma (Hoorn, April 2, 1952) is a Dutch writer, artist and illustrator. She is best known for her children's picture books and her Tolkien illustrations. Career Postma trained as an illustrator at the Free Graphics and Painting Department of the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In 1976 she received a Gouden Griffel#Gouden Penseel, Gouden Penseel (Golden Brush) for her illustrations of Hans Christian Andersen's ''Sprookjes en vertellingen'' (1975); this was a prize awarded to talented new illustrators. Two years later she was honored with the Gouden Appel (Golden Apple), awarded at the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava by a jury with members from thirteen countries. James Marsh (artist)
James Marsh is an English visual artist, illustrator and designer. He studied design and display at the Batley College of Art & Design, and graduated with an National Diploma in Design and college diplomas. He is also a founding member of the Association of Illustrators. Notable works by Marsh include ''Time'' magazine covers, neo-surreal cover paintings for paperback reprints of Ross Macdonald books, cover art for all of the studio albums released by the English band Talk Talk, and his gatefold artwork for Jamiroquai's chart-topping debut album, ''Emergency on Planet Earth'', in 1993. Nicholas Raymond Leige Price (born 28 January 1957) is a Zimbabwean former professional golfer who has won three major championships in his career: the PGA Championship twice (in 1992 and 1994) and The Open Championship in 1994. Claude Lapointe (born October 11, 1968) is a Canadian former ice hockey player. He played in the National Hockey League for the Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, New York Islanders, and Philadelphia Flyers between 1991 and 2004. Étienne Delessert (illustrator)
Étienne Delessert (4 January 1941 in Lausanne – 21 April 2024 in Lakeville) was a Swiss self-taught graphic artist and illustrator. He is largely known for his animated series ''Yok-Yok'' and his collaboration with Eugène Ionesco, on ''Stories "1" and "2"'', as well as his work with child psychologist Jean Piaget. His work focused on expanding the child's mind through the use of strange stories often designed to make children ask questions. He considered himself first and foremost a story teller. His creative process involved mostly digital media in combination with hand sketching. For his lasting contribution as a children's illustrator, Delessert was a finalist for the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award in both 2006 and 2010. Binette Schroeder (5 December 1939 – 5 July 2022) was a German author and illustrator. Biography Born in Hamburg, Schroeder studied typography in Munich and continued her studies in painting at the Schule für Gestaltung Basel.
