Club Deportivo La Equidad, also known as La Equidad, is a professional Colombian football team based in Bogotá, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera A. They play their home games at the Metropolitano de Techo stadium. History La Equidad was founded in 1982 by its namesake company ''Seguros La Equidad'', and immediately after its foundation it entered the Olaya Tournament, a traditional amateur football tournament in Bogotá. La Equidad's first appearance in the 1982–83 edition of the tournament was supported by Independiente Santa Fe, which handed over a manager and several players of their youth ranks to take part in the competition, which was ultimately won by them. 2007 Categoría Primera A Season
The 2007 Categoría Primera A season was the 60th season of Colombia's top-flight football league. Atlético Nacional won both the Apertura and Finalización tournaments. Campeonato Apertura 2007-I - Copa Mustang or Torneo Apertura 2007 is the 65th installment of the Mustang Cup. It began on February 4 with the opening match between Independiente Santa Fe and Atlético Junior in Fusagasugá at the Estadio Fernando Mazuera. The Estadio Nemesio Camacho "El Campín" was not used because was going through some repairs and modifications. 18 teams competed against one another and played each weekend until May 12. At that point, the top 8 teams in the league stage advanced to the group stage, each group with 4 teams. Renzo Santiago Sheput Rodríguez (born 8 November 1980) is a Peruvian former professional association football, footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Career Renzo Sheput was born in Lima, Peru. He started playing with Deportivo Zúñiga at the age of 7. The 2009 Copa Sudamericana de Clubes (officially the 2009 Copa Nissan Sudamericana de Clubes for sponsorship reasons) is the 8th edition of the CONMEBOL's secondary international club tournament. Internacional were the defending champions, having won the trophy the previous season. Ecuadorian side LDU Quito won the 2009 tournament, becoming the first Ecuadorian winners of the trophy. Estadio El Campín
The Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín, commonly known as El Campín, is the main stadium of Bogotá, Colombia. It was inaugurated on 10 August 1938 and has a capacity of 39,512 spectators. It is the home ground of the Categoría Primera A teams Millonarios and Santa Fe. The stadium is named after Nemesio Camacho, former manager of the then-existing streetcar system of Bogotá and also the father of Luis Camacho Matiz, the person who offered the land where the stadium would be constructed.
