Renzo Sheput
Renzo Santiago Sheput Rodríguez (born 8 November 1980) is a Peruvian former professional association football, footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Career Renzo Sheput was born in Lima, Peru. He started playing with Deportivo Zúñiga at the age of 7. He was promoted to the first team of the club which played in the Segunda División Peruana, Second Division. In 1998, he tried out for Sporting Cristal and was immediately signed. He started playing in the U-20 team for Sporting Cristal. Due to his good performances with the U-20 team, head coach Juan Carlos Oblitas promoted him to the first team in the month of September 1999. In 2001, he was loaned out to Union Minas for the first half of the year. He has also played for Universidad San Martín de Porres, Universidad San Martín, Coronel Bolognesi FC, Alianza Atletico, Club Deportivo Municipal, Deportivo Municipal, La Equidad, and Juan Aurich. The 2014 Torneo Descentralizado de Fútbol Profesional (known as the 2014 Copa Movistar for sponsorship reasons) was the 98th season of the highest division of Peruvian football. A total of 16 teams competed in the tournament. The Torneo Descentralizado began on June 7 and ended on December 21 2014. Tournament modus The season was divided into three stages. The first two stages were two smaller Apertura and Clausura tournaments of 15 games each. Each team played other teams once during the Apertura tournament and during the Clausura tournament in a reversed order for a total of 30 matches each. The 2002 Torneo Descentralizado was the 86th season of the top category of Peruvian football (soccer). It was played by 12 teams. The national champion was Sporting Cristal. Competition modus The national championship was divided into two and half-year tournaments, the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura. Each was played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. The winners of each would play for the national title in a playoff, but a team had to finish in the top 4 in both tournaments to earn the right to play the final. If the same club had won both tournaments, it would have won the national championship automatically. Following-season Copa Libertadores berths went to each half-year tournament winner, and the best-placed team in the aggregate table.
