Kalba Football Club (Arabic: نادي كلباء الرياضي الثقافي), more colloquially abbreviated as Al-Ittihad, is a professional football club founded in 1972 and based in the city of Kalba, in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The team competes in the UAE Pro League, the top tier of Emirati football. History Kalba Football Club was established in 1972 through the merger of three clubs: ''Al Shabab,'' ''Al Rooba,'' and ''Al Riyadiya''. Kalba has won a record breaking 7 Division 1 titles with their last one being in the 2013-14 season. From 2009 to 2018 the team spent these years jumping up and down between divisions; since the 2018-19 season they have managed to consistently compete in the top tier, and in the 2020-21 season they reached the UAE League Cup Semi-finals, where they were eliminated by Al-Nasr Dubai on penalties after a draw on aggregate. 2012–13 UAE Pro League
The 2011–12 UAE Pro League (known as ''Etisalat Pro League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 38th top-level football season in the United Arab Emirates, UAE and the fifth Professional season. The season was contested by 14 teams due to an expansion in the league system. Al Ain FC, Al Ain were the defending champions, having won the previous 2011–12 UAE Pro-League, 2011–12 Pro League season. On Thursday, 18 April 2013, Al Ain won their match against Dubai CSC, Dubai Club which guaranteed them as winners of the 2012–13 Pro League and retained their Pro League trophy. The UAE Pro League (), also known as the ADNOC Pro League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the highest level of the Emirati football league system. The first team to win the title was Al Orouba (Sharjah), whilst Al Ain has the record with 14 league titles to their name. Fourteen clubs compete in the league that operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the First Division League. The League was founded in 1973 as the UAE Football League. The first 1973–74 season was a "trial" championship but was declared official by the UAE FA in 2001. 2023–24 UAE Pro League
The 2023–24 UAE Pro League was the 49th edition of the UAE Pro League. Shabab Al Ahli Club, Shabab Al Ahli were the defending champions. Teams Team changes Promoted to the Pro League Hatta Club, Hatta secured promotion to the pro league after a decisive 3–2 victory over Al Rams Club, Al Rams. The 2022–23 UAE Pro League was the 48th edition of the UAE Pro League. Al Ain were the defending champions after winning their fourteenth title last season. There was a mid-season break due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Shabab Al Ahli won the Pro League for the eighth time. 2019–20 UAE Pro League
The 2019–20 UAE Pro League was the 46th edition of the UAE Pro League. On 26 April 2019, Khor Fakkan won the first division title over Al Taawon 3–0; this is their inaugural appearance on the pro league as Khor Fakkan Club as they were previously known as ''Al Khaleej'', having been absent from the Pro League for twelve years. Hatta later returned to the pro league after a 1–0 away victory against Al Hamriyah secured them a spot on the first division after getting relegated a year ago. Sharjah are the defending champions. 2018–19 UAE Pro League
The 2018–19, UAE Pro League was the 45th edition with Al Ain being the defending champions after winning their 13th title. Both Baniyas and Kalba returned to the pro league after getting relegated back at 2017. After losing Al Shabab and Dubai last season, the league has been reduced to 12 teams. Both the teams needed to get back to 14 teams so they held a relegation play off between bottom two teams of last year and the 3rd and 4th placed teams of the 2nd division.
