Josh Griffin
Josh Griffin (born 9 May 1990) is an English rugby league footballer who plays as a or er for Wakefield Trinity in the Championship. He has previously played for the Hull FC, Huddersfield Giants, Castleford Tigers and the Salford Red Devils in the Super League. He spent time at the Batley Bulldogs, on loan from Huddersfield and also on permanent deal at Batley in the Championship. Between 2012 and 2014 he played professional rugby union as a winger for Leeds Carnegie in the RFU Championship. Background Griffin was born in Oxford, England. The Rugby Football League Challenge Cup, commonly known just as the Challenge Cup is a Single-elimination tournament, knockout rugby league cup competition organised by the Rugby Football League, held annually since 1896, it is the world's oldest cup competition in either rugby union, code of rugby. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three Wicket#Dismissing a batsman, wickets with three consecutive delivery (cricket), deliveries. 2021 Challenge Cup
The 2021 Challenge Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2021 Betfred Challenge Cup, was the 120th edition of the Challenge Cup, the main rugby league knockout tournament in British rugby league run by the Rugby Football League (RFL). This year's competition will be contested between only the professional clubs. The competition was won by St Helens who beat Castleford 26–12 at Wembley Stadium on 17 July 2021. Super League XXV, known as the 2020 Betfred Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the 25th season of the Super League and 126th season of rugby league in Great Britain.
