Johnnie Blockburger
Johnnie Blockburger (born 12 July 2002) is an American sprinter. Early and personal life From Arizona, he attended Tucson High School. His personal best for the 400 metres whilst at Tucson was 48.02 seconds as a junior in 2019, but his track season was practically non-existent in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. His twin sister Alyssa Blockburger is also a college athlete who competes in middle-distance running. Their father, Sheldon Blockburger competed in decathlon, was a coach at the University of Arizona for ten seasons prior to being an assistant coach for the USC Trojans from 2016-2018. 2025 Diamond League
The 2025 Diamond League is the sixteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition is a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events is 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast. Events losing Diamond Discipline status will feature on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the second tier of track and field meetings. Starting in 2025 each meeting will nominate 4 events (2 male and 2 female) to be Diamond+ Disciplines, these events will have increased levels of prize money this will mean at regular meetings a doubling of the 1st place prize from $10,000 to $20,000 and at the Diamond League Finals an increase to $50,000. The 2025 Meeting International Mohammed VI d'Athlétisme de Rabat was the 16th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Rabat, Morocco. Held on 25 May at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Olympic Annex Stadium, it was the fourth leg of the 2025 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. Diamond+ results Starting in 2025 a new discipline of events was added called Diamond+, these 4 events per meet awarded athletes with increased prize money whilst keeping the standard points format to qualify for the Diamond league finals. First place earns 8 points, with each step down in place earning one less point than the previous, until no points are awarded in 9th place or lower. In the case of a tie, each tying athlete earns the full amount of points for the place. Lynna Irby-Jackson
Lynna Irby-Jackson (born December 6, 1998) is an American track and field sprinter who competes in the 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m dash events. At the 400 m dash, she set an all-time world record at the age of 12 running 54.57 before becoming the fastest American 400 m high school runner in the last 20 years. She gained 16 national titles from Jr Olympic and Youth National meets. Irby has won silver medals in the event at both the 2015 World Youth Championships and the 2016 World Junior Championships. Career Irby started running track at the age of nine for the Indiana Storm Track Club. She attended Pike High School, where she won Gatorade Player of the year for the state of Indiana in 2015 and in 2016. Chris Robinson (born 19 February 2001) is an American hurdler. He was the 2023 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, 2023 NCAA champion over 400 metres hurdles. Early life He attended James S. Rickards High School in Tallahassee, Florida before attending the University of Alabama.
