Lynna Irby-Jackson
Lynna Irby-Jackson (born December 6, 1998) is an American track and field sprinter who competes in the 100 m, 200 m, and 400 m dash events. At the 400 m dash, she set an all-time world record at the age of 12 running 54.57 before becoming the fastest American 400 m high school runner in the last 20 years. She gained 16 national titles from Jr Olympic and Youth National meets. Irby has won silver medals in the event at both the 2015 World Youth Championships and the 2016 World Junior Championships. Career Irby started running track at the age of nine for the Indiana Storm Track Club. She attended Pike High School, where she won Gatorade Player of the year for the state of Indiana in 2015 and in 2016. She was also awarded the 2016 Indiana Sports Award presented by the Indianapolis Star newspaper, and earned Pike High School's MVP 3 years straight. The mixed 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2025 World Athletics Relays was held at the Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou, China on 10 and 11 May. The event served as a qualifying event for the 2025 World Athletics Championships, with the top 14 teams securing qualification to the World Championships. Maicel D. Malone-Wallace (born June 12, 1969 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American former track and field athlete who specialised in the 400 meters. She was on the 1996 Olympic Games gold medal winning team in the women's 4 × 400 meters relay for the United States. Running for the Arizona State Sun Devils track and field team, Malone-Wallace won the 1990 400 meters at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the 1991 4 × 400 meter relay at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. Sydney Michelle McLaughlin-Levrone ( ; ; born August 7, 1999) is an American Hurdling, hurdler and Sprint (running), sprinter who competes in the 400 meters hurdles and is the List of world records in athletics, world record holder in that event. The championships were originally awarded to Kazan, Russia before the hosting rights were withdrawn as a result of ARAF being suspended by the IAAF. Since then, three cities expressed an interest in hosting the championships; on 7 January 2016, the decision was made to reallocate the championships to Bydgoszcz as it was the only city to submit a bid. The IAAF U18 Championships in Athletics (until 2015 known as IAAF World Youth Championships in Athletics) was a global athletics event comprising track and field events for competitors who were 17 or younger (youth = Under-18).
