Jimboomba is a town and locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Jimboomba had a population of 7,423 people. Geography Jimboomba is situated on the Mount Lindesay Highway, by road south-east of Logan Central and by road south of Brisbane central business district. The western part of Jimboomba is bordered by the new suburb of Glenlogan and the Logan River; the only bridge within the locality is Payne Bridge on Cusack Lane (). There is a low-level older bridge immediately to the north of Payne Bridge, but this cannot be used by vehicular traffic. The Queensland Government's current plan is that Jimboomba will become a major residential and business area within the Brisbane metropolitan region, as part of the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, which will house up to 150,000 additional residents in coming decades. Mount Lindesay Highway is an Australian national highway located in Queensland. The highway runs southwest from Brisbane, where it leaves Ipswich Road in the suburb of Moorooka (as Beaudesert Road to the Logan Motorway), to the Queensland – New South Wales border and is in length. For most of its length it is roughly aligned with the Sydney–Brisbane rail corridor. Riverbend is a rural locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. Designated as a separate locality in 2017, it will be progressively developed for residential use as the population of the city grows. In the , Riverbend had a population of 661 people. Geography Riverbend is situated along the development corridor south of Brisbane in the Greater Flagstone development area. The locality takes its name from the bend in the Logan River on the southern boundary of the suburb. On the river on the southern boundary is the Cedar Grove Weir. Mundoolun is a rural locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. The locality was among the first pastoral runs in the Logan/Albert River catchment.In the , Mundoolun had a population of 1,836 people. Geography North Maclean is on the Mount Lindesay Highway with the Logan River as part of its northern and southern boundaries as well as passing through the locality. Beaudesert Railway Line
The Beaudesert railway line (also known as the Upper Logan railway line) is a disused branch railway in South East Queensland, Australia. The first section opened in 1885 between Bethania and Logan Village, the line completed in 1888 with the extension to the terminus of Beaudesert and operated as a Queensland Government Railways (QGR) line until 1996 (Passenger service ceased in 1961). A heritage operation was undertaken from 2002 to 2005. The QR Canungra branch line junctioned from the Beaudesert branch at Logan Village railway station, Logan Village and operated between 1915 and 1955, and the Beaudesert Shire Tramway connected with the terminus between 1903 and 1944. Geography Stockleigh is a low density semi-rural locality with larger acreage blocks. Stockleigh has an environmental park and a small housing estate in the east, near Logan Village. History When pioneer Will Elworthy settled in the district in 1863 the area to be known as Stockleigh was named after his birthplace in Devon, England. When farmers turned to intensive dairying, milk and cream could be transported to the Kingston dairy factory via the Maclean Bridge over the Logan River immediately west of Stockleigh.
