The City of Logan is a local government in Australia, local government area (LGA) located in the south of Greater Brisbane in South East Queensland (SEQ), Australia. Situated between the City of Brisbane to the north and the City of Gold Coast to the south, the City of Logan also borders the Scenic Rim Region, the City of Ipswich, and Redland City LGAs. Logan is divided into 70 suburbs and 12 divisions; a councillor is elected to each of the latter. The council had a population of 326,615 as of June 2018. Carbrook is a suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. Carbrook was previously called Gramzow, a name of German origin. The German name was anglicised in 1916 during World War I. In the , Carbrook had a population of 1,330 people. Geography The Beenleigh–Redland Bay Road runs through from west to east. History Carbrook was originally known as ''Gramzow'' after the village of Gramzow, Uckermark, Northern Germany, the name being given to it by the early German settlers who arrived in 1867. The locality was among the first pastoral runs in the Logan/Albert River catchment.In the , Mundoolun had a population of 1,836 people. Priestdale is a suburb in the north-east of the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , Priestdale had a population of 160 people. Geography Priestdale is bounded to the north-west by Priest Gully (a creek), to the north by Priestdale Road, and to the east by Ford Road. The suburb is relatively undeveloped with rural residential blocks in the north and north-east. The south and west are undeveloped.
