Jiggs Kalra
Jaspal Inder Singh Kalra, better known as Jiggs Kalra (21 May 1947 – 4 June 2019), was an Indian restaurateur, food columnist, television host, and author. He was popularly known as the "czar of Indian cuisine" and "tastemaker to the Nation." Career Jaspal Inder Singh Kalra attended Mayo College, a boarding school in Rajasthan, where he was captain of the basketball team where he may have acquired the nickname Jiggs. Soon after graduating, he started working as a trainee journalist at The Times of India in Bombay. Kalra wrote about innovative restaurants, unusual ingredients and new and old techniques in Indian cuisine. With his encyclopedic knowledge of North Indian cuisine, he was often the last word on authenticity; he was frequently sought out by restaurants and hotels to perfect recipes and develop menus. Zorawar Kalra
Zorawar Kalra (born 26 May 1977) is an Indian restaurateur. He is the son of Jiggs Kalra, the ‘Czar of Indian Cuisine’. He is the founder and managing director of Massive Restaurants Pvt Ltd, which owns brands such as Masala Library, Pa Pa Ya, Farzi Café, Made in Punjab and unique Asian eatery called Hotel ShangHigh. He hosted season five of ''MasterChef India'', replacing Sanjeev Kapoor. Bandra
Bandra (Indian English, [bæːɳɖɾa]) also known as Vandre (Help:IPA/Marathi, [ʋaːn̪d̪ɾe]) is an upscale coastal suburb located in Mumbai (Bombay) area of the Konkan division, Maharashtra, India. The suburb is located to the immediate north of River Mithi, which separates Bandra from Mumbai City district. Originally, Bandra was a larger area, whence the present day Khar, Mumbai, Khar neighbourhood was also a part of it. Almost a century ago, it was considered too large a suburb to be served by one railway station. Therefore, the Khar Road railway station was established in 1924, to give the northern part of Bandra closer access to the Western Railway (India), Western Railway line.
