Isabelle Le Normand
Isabelle Le Normand is a French contemporary art curator based in Los Angeles, California who has curated exhibitions and events internationally. After her double Master's from the Sorbonne in curatorial studies and art history, Le Normand curated for public institutions in Paris: at Mains d'Oeuvres where she was director and curator for six years; Palais de Tokyo; at Galerie Anne Barrault; La Box in Bourges; in Los Angeles at ForYourArt, Machine Project, and 18th Street Arts Center; at private collector Danny First's house and galleries Anne Barrault in Paris, FKSE in Budapest. She completed residencies at the Total Museum and Gwangju Biennale in South Korea, the Stroom Foundation in the Netherlands, Cité des arts in Paris, Komplot in Brussels, and Residency Unlimited in New York. Mains D'Oeuvres
Mains d’Œuvres (Manpower) is a not-for-profit arts organization based in Saint-Ouen, a suburb of Paris. The organization supports contemporary art by coordinating residencies for emerging artists and by programming exhibitions and events. History Mains d’Œuvres is situated in a refurbished Valeo car factory, which was used as an employee community and sports center until the company sold the building in 1991. In 1991, four organizations: Usines Ephemeres, TransEuropeHalles network, Vecam and Europe 99, combined to create Mains d'Œuvres. A pioneer of its time, Mains d'Œuvres spearheaded the widespread phenomenon in Europe during the 1990s, which consisted of turning factories into placed dedicated to new, inventive art forms. The Palais de Tokyo (''Tokyo Palace'') is a building dedicated to modern and contemporary art, located at 13 avenue du Président-Wilson, facing the Trocadéro, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, 16th arrondissement of Paris. Machine Project was a Los Angeles based not-for-profit arts organization and community event space. History Founded by Mark Allen, Machine Project launched in 2003 with its inaugural show, ‘Tom Jennings - Story Teller,’ an installation produced by Tom Jennings, which was displayed from December 6, 2003 until January 24, 2004. Emily Mast
Emily Mast (born 1976, Cleveland, Ohio) is a Los Angeles-based visual and performing artist. Her video and performance work has been exhibited internationally and was included in the Hammer Museum's "Made in LA" biennial in 2014. She has also performed live at LACMA, Human Resources, the Velaslavasay Panorama, Night Gallery, Public Fiction, and REDCAT. Many of Mast's pieces begin with an abstract text and she says of her work, "I'm someone who's always trying to squeeze things into their very essence."
