Iranian applications are applications with different functionalities like Online banking, banking, Services marketing, services, instant messaging, social media, Video game, games, Online shopping, shopping, Video on demand, VOD, App store, app stores and ext. which their servers are located in Iran. Messengers Messaging apps offer communication platforms that function on the National Information Network, while being limited and censored by government. The apps receive robust government support and funding. The state offers some electronic government services exclusively through the apps. The Iranian messaging apps were removed by Google Play Store Protect in 2022 after being tagged for spyware. The apps have been criticized by security experts for lacking security measures and infrastructure such as end-to-end encryption. The apps are interlinked through Message Exchange Center. Snapp!
Snapp! () is an Iranian vehicle for hire company, headquartered in Tehran that launched in February 2014. Users can request a ride via the iOS, Android, or web application, by indicating their location and destination. The price of the trip is set beforehand, to eliminate bargaining. Snapp! commissions drivers upon completing a background check, and showing a valid driver's license and insurance before hiring them. Funding and operations The company launched in 2014 as Taxi Yaab and experienced rapid growth in the first three years. In October 2016, the company received a $20 million investment in a Series A round led by MTN Group, a South African multinational corporation.
