Ines Doujak
Ines Doujak (born 1959, Klagenfurt) is an Austrian artist. Doujak graduated from Hochschule für angewandte Kunst in Vienna. She had her first solo exhibition in 2002 at the Vienna Secession in 2002. as part of which she took part in the Rainbow Parade of that year, the Viennese counterpart to the Christopher Street Day, for which she designed a float. Since then has exhibited worldwide ever since working with a variety of media: collage, sculpture, photography, film, audio and installation. The Vienna Secession (german: Wiener Secession; also known as ''the Union of Austrian Artists'', or ''Vereinigung Bildender Künstler Österreichs'') is an art movement, closely related to Art Nouveau, that was formed in 1897 by a group of Austrian painters, graphic artists, sculptors and architects, including Josef Hoffman, Koloman Moser, Otto Wagner and Gustav Klimt. They resigned from the Association of Austrian Artists in protest against its support for more traditional artistic styles. Their most influential architectural work was the Secession Building designed by Joseph Maria Olbrich as a venue for expositions of the group. The Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart was founded in 1827 and is one of the oldest art associations in Germany. The association, which today has around 3,000 members, is based in the Kunstgebäude Stuttgart and is dedicated to communicating contemporary art.
