''In Bed with Medinner'' is a late-night British TV programme starring Bob Mills (comedian), Bob Mills and originally broadcast in the 1990s. It is a precursor to the contemporary ''Harry Hill's TV Burp'', Russell Brand's ''Ponderland'' and Paddy McGuinness's ''Paddy's TV Guide''. ''In Bed with Medinner'' was a London Weekend Television production for ITV (TV network), ITV. Stand-up comic Bob Mills (comedian), Bob Mills specialised in a cynical view of life and its everyday objects, and in pastiches of popular culture icons. Bob Mills (comedian)
Robert Edward Mills (born 30 June 1957) is an English comedian and broadcaster, who has appeared in the television series ''In Bed with Medinner'' and ''The Show''. Early life Mills was born in Chester and attended Chester City Grammar School. After a very short spell of training for the Merchant Navy, he quit and worked as a valet in King's Cross, London and as a Hoffman dry cleaning presser operator, driver and delivery man. After seeing Kevin Day and Eddie Zibbin (Pat Condell) at the Market Tavern in Islington in 1983, he decided to become a comedian and was a mainstay for the British 'stand-up' circuit for several years. TV career In 1983 Mills played a villain as Lon's Bodyguard in ''Doctor Who'' opposite Peter Davison as The Doctor and Martin Clunes as Lon. Boy George
George Alan O'Dowd (born 14 June 1961), known professionally as Boy George, is an English singer, songwriter, DJ, author and mixed media artist. Best known for his soulful voice and his androgynous appearance, Boy George has been the lead singer of the pop band Culture Club since the group's formation in 1981. The Damned (band)
The Damned are an English punk rock band formed in London in 1976 by lead vocalist Dave Vanian, guitarist Brian James, bassist (and later guitarist) Captain Sensible, and drummer Rat Scabies. They were the first punk band from the United Kingdom to release a single, " New Rose" (1976), release a studio album, '' Damned Damned Damned'' (1977), and tour the United States. They have nine singles that charted on the UK Singles Chart Top 40. Buzzcocks are an English punk rock band formed in Bolton, England in 1976 by singer-songwriter-guitarist Pete Shelley and singer-songwriter Howard Devoto. Stiff Little Fingers
Stiff Little Fingers are a punk rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. They formed in 1977 at the height of the Troubles, which informed much of their songwriting. They started out as a schoolboy band called Highway Star (named after the Deep Purple song), doing rock covers, until they discovered punk. They were the first punk band in Belfast to release a record – the " Suspect Device" single came out on their own independent label, Rigid Digits. Their album '' Inflammable Material'', released in partnership with Rough Trade, became the first independent LP to enter the UK top 20. After six years and four albums, they split up.
