Hunt Block
Huntington Macdonald Block (born February 16, 1953) is an American television actor. Career Block was discovered selling Buick Century automobiles at the Chicago Auto Show. Early in his career, he made numerous TV commercials, short films, and experimental theater pieces. While living in Tribeca in New York City, he performed in Off-Off Broadway and Broadway productions for Arthur Laurents, Edward Albee, Robert Smith, and Doric Wilson. He appeared in William Shakespeare's ''As You Like It'', ''Forever After'', ''A Loss Of Memory'', ''Provicante di Saliva'', ''The Bald Soprano'', and ''Make Mine Kafka!''. Block has worked with film directors Arthur Hiller, Peter Medak, Lee Katzin, Alvin Rakoff, and Phillip Noyce. The 1896 Summer Olympics (), officially known as the Games of the I Olympiad () and commonly known as Athens 1896 (), were the first international Olympic Games held in modern history. Organised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which had been created by French aristocrat Pierre de Coubertin, the event was held in Athens, Greece, from 6 to 15 April 1896. Fourteen nations (according to the IOC, though the number is subject to interpretation) and 241 athletes (all males; this number is also disputed) took part in the games. ''Otherworld'' is an American science fiction television series that aired for eight episodes from January 26 to March 16, 1985 on CBS and was created by Roderick Taylor. William Hunt Block (born April 2, 1954) is an American film producer who was CEO of Miramax from April 2017 to October 2023. His producing credits include '' W.'' Shadow play, also known as shadow puppetry, is an ancient form of storytelling and entertainment which uses flat articulated cut-out figures (shadow puppets) which are held between a source of light and a translucent screen or scrim (material), scrim. The cut-out shapes of the puppets sometimes include translucent color or other types of detailing. Various effects can be achieved by moving both the puppets and the light source. A skilled puppeteer can make the figures appear to walk, dance, fight, nod and laugh.
