''Home Sweet Home 2'' is a 2015 Indian Konkani cinema, Konkani language film written and directed by Swapnil Shetkar. It is a sequel of 2014 film ''Home Sweet Home (2014 film), Home Sweet Home''. It stars John D'Silva, Rajdeep Naik and Aryan Khedekar. It is produced by Swapnil Shetkar and Madhav Gad under the banner of Go Goa Gollywood Productions. It is a mixture of political and courtroom drama. This film is inspired from real life incidents in Goan and National politics. It was released commercially all over Goa on 25 December 2015 and became an instant hit despite facing tough competition from two of the biggest Hindi cinema, Bollywood films ''Bajirao Mastani'' and ''Dilwale (2015 film), Dilwale''. Konkani Cinema
Konkani cinema is an Indian film industry, where films are made in the Konkani language, which is spoken mainly in the Indian states of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka and to a smaller extent in Kerala. The films have been produced in Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Kerala. The first full-length Konkani film was ''Sukhi Konn'' produced by GMB Rodrigues in 1949 but was never released. ''Mogacho Anvddo'', was released on 24 April 1950, and was produced and directed by Al Jerry Braganza, a native of Mapusa, under the banner of ETICA Pictures. ''Home Sweet Home'' is a 2014 Indian Konkani language comedy film written and directed by Swapnil Shetkar and starring John D'Silva, Rajdeep Naik and Aryan Khedekar. The film is produced by Swapnil Shetkar and Madhav Gad under the banner of Go Goa Gollywood Productions. This film is inspired from real life incidents of land scam in Goa. It was released commercially all over Goa on 26 December 2014 and became an instant hit with unprecedented box office performance for a Konkani film despite being pitted against Amir khan starrer PK, one of the biggest Hindi film. It ran for 101 days in Goa during its initial release and completed a record number of 600 shows. John D'Silva
João Francisco Silva (born 20 February 1964), known professionally as John D' Silva, is an Indian actor, comedian, playwright, and director known for his work in Konkani films and ''tiatr'' productions. Referred to as the "Emperor of the Konkani stage", he is the first '' tiatrist'' (theatre performer) to enter the Limca Book of Records in 2010 for acting, writing, directing and producing 25 tiatrs having a double alphabet in their titles. Rajdeep Vasant Naik (born 30 March 1975) is an Indian actor, theatre director, theatrical producer, singer, and politician known for his work in Konkani films, ''nataks'' (dramas), and ''tiatr'' (Konkani theatre) productions. Early life Rajdeep Vasant Naik was born on 30 March 1975. He hails from the village of Volvoi, Goa. During his schooling, Naik engaged in one-act plays from the sixth grade onwards and participated in several competitions. This pursuit continued through high school and into college.
