Guilty (Taemin EP)
''Guilty'' is the fourth Korean extended play (EP) by South Korean singer Taemin. It was released on October 30, 2023, through SM Entertainment. The EP is Taemin's first release since being discharged from military service. It consists of six songs, including the lead single, "Guilty". Background Taemin's third Korean EP, '' Advice'', was released in May 2021, shortly prior to his mandatory enlistment in the South Korean military. He completed his military service in April 2023. On October 10, SM Entertainment confirmed that Taemin would release his fourth EP later that month, bringing his two-year hiatus to an end. In an interview with ''Luxury'' magazine, Taemin said that he took inspiration for the EP from Georges Bataille's 1957 book ''L'Erotisme''. Taemin
Lee Tae-min (; born July 18, 1993), better known mononymously as Taemin, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, and actor. He debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band Shinee in May 2008 and the supergroup SuperM in 2019, both under SM Entertainment, and has subsequently been labeled by media outlets as the "Idol's Idol" due to the large number of idols citing him as an inspiration. As an actor, Taemin's first role was as Junsu in the 2009 MBC comedy '' Hilarious Housewives''. Taemin debuted as a soloist in 2014 with the release of his first extended play (EP), '' Ace''. It was established in June 2020 through the memorandum of understanding signed by SM and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Metamorph was the fifth concert tour by South Korean singer Taemin, in support of his fourth Korean EP, '' Guilty''. It began on December 16, 2023, at the Inspire Arena in Incheon. It was the first solo concert to be held at the venue, and received attention for its innovative stage production, which featured the first 360-degree rotating platform to be used in a South Korean concert. Additional performances were held in Japan in March 2024. Background On October 19, 2023, SM Entertainment announced that Taemin would hold a two-day concert, titled Metamorph, at the newly built Inspire Arena in Incheon.
