"Get Me Out" is a song by Australian rock group King Stingray, released on 18 January 2021 as the second single from their self-titled debut studio album (2022). Songwriter Roy Kellaway said "Yirrŋa and I wrote this song when we were away on tour. We were thinking about our hometown Yirrkala. But when we saw the sun go down and we saw that sunset we had a mutual feeling of living under the one sun, living under the same sun." At the AIR Awards of 2022, the song was nominated for Independent Song of the Year. At the APRA Music Awards of 2022, the song was shortlisted for Song of the Year. King Stingray is an Rock music in Australia, Australian rock band from East Arnhem Region, Northeast Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. With a sound self-described as "Yolŋu surf rock", the band perform songs with lyrics in both English and Yolŋu Matha. King Stingray released their debut single, "Hey Wanhaka", in October 2020, and their King Stingray (album), self-titled debut album on 5 August 2022. Career Two of the band's founding members have known one another since childhood – lead vocalist Yirrŋa Yunupiŋu is the nephew of Mandawuy Yunupingu, Dr M. "Hey Wanhaka" is a song by Australian rock group King Stingray, released on 14 October 2020 as their debut and lead single from their self-titled debut studio album (2022). In Yolŋu Matha, "Hey Wanhaka" means "where you going?" or "what's happening?". The song was nominated for the 2022 Environmental Music Prize. In Yolŋu Matha, "Milkumana" means to show, share or pass on knowledge through stories and song.
