Gastón Olveira
Gastón Hernán Olveira Echeverría (born 21 April 1993) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Paraguayan Primera División club Club Olimpia. Club career Olveira began his career in 2013 with River Plate Montevideo. He made his league debut for the club on 19 April 2014 in a 2–1 away defeat to Sud América. On 17 January 2021, Club Olimpia announced the signing of Olveira on a season long loan deal. At the end of the year, River Plate bought Olveira from River Plate and signed him on a permanently 4-year deal. International career Olveira was part of Uruguay squad which won gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games. On 11 October 2019, he received his first call-up to the Uruguay national team as a replacement for Fernando Muslera. On 21 October 2022, he was named in Uruguay's 55-man preliminary squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Football At The Pan American Games
Football at the Pan American Games is an association football competition organized by Panam Sports in the continental multi-sport event of the Pan American Games. The men's tournament has been played since 1951, it has restricted the participation of elite players in various ways. The women's tournament has been played since 1999, it is for senior national teams. The tournament was played in a league format from 1951 to 1963, neither the final nor bronze medal match was hosted. Another format was used in 1971, this time the tournament was played in a group format in the early stages, but played in a league format for the final stages. The 2024 Primera División season (officially the Copa de Primera Tigo – ueno bank 2024 for sponsorship reasons) was the 90th season of the Paraguayan Primera División, the top-flight professional football league in Paraguay. The Supercopa Paraguay (''Paraguay Supercup'') is an annual one-match football official competition in Paraguay organised by the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) which is played by the Primera División champions with the best record in the season's aggregate table and the Copa Paraguay champions, starting from 2021. This competition, created in October 2019, serves as the season's closing event and is scheduled to be played in December each year, one week after the end of the league season. Copa Libertadores
The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as Copa Libertadores de América (), is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the '' Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Spanish American wars of independence and Brazilian Independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''Liberators of America Cup''". The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, also known as Copa Sudamericana (; ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL, the governing body of football in South America, since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana began in 2002, replacing the separate competitions Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur (that had replaced Copa CONMEBOL) by a single competition. The 2019 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the Campeonato Uruguayo 2019, was the 116th season of Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 89th in which it is professional. The season was named as "100 Años de Racing Club de Montevideo" and was originally scheduled to begin on 9 February but its start was pushed back for one week to 16 February. The season ended on 15 December with Nacional winning their forty-seventh title by beating Peñarol in the semifinal.
