Freifjorden
Freifjorden is a fjord in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long fjord flows through the municipalities of Kristiansund, Tingvoll, and Gjemnes. The fjord begins near the island of Tustna and flows southwest between the islands of Nordlandet and Frei on the west side and the mainland peninsula of Straumsnes and the islands of Aspøya and Bergsøya on the east side. The Kvernesfjorden lies at the west end of the Freifjorden, near the Freifjord Tunnel. The villages of Nedre Frei and Kvalvåg are located on the western shore of the fjord. Freifjord Tunnel
The Freifjord Tunnel ( no, Freifjordtunnelen) is a long undersea tunnel under the Freifjorden in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The tunnel is part of the Norwegian National Road 70. The tunnel begins on the island of Frei in Kristiansund Municipality and then descends below the Freifjorden and ends on the island of Bergsøya in Gjemnes Municipality. Vinjefjorden
Vinjefjorden or Vinje Fjord is a fjord in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. It begins at the village of Vinjeøra in Heim Municipality (in Trøndelag county) and flows west through the municipalities of Aure, Tingvoll, and Kristiansund (in Møre og Romsdal county). At its western end, it flows into the Talsjøen and Freifjorden. The Halsafjorden, Skålvik Fjord, and Valsøyfjorden all branch off of the long Vinjefjorden. Tustna (island)
Tustna is an island in Aure Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island lies in the western part of the municipality. The island of Tustna lies west of the islands of Stabblandet and Solskjelsøya; to the northeast of the islands of Frei and Nordlandet; and south of the island of Smøla. The Edøyfjorden runs along the northern shores of the island, the Vinjefjorden (and Halsafjorden) are to the south, the Freifjorden is to the southwest, the Talgsjøen is to the west, and the open Norwegian Sea is to the northwest. Frei is an island in Kristiansund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island lies south of the town of Kristiansund (town), Kristiansund in the Nordmøre region of the county. The main villages on the island include Rensvik in the north, Kvalvåg in the east, and Nedre Frei in the south. Nedre Frei is a village in Kristiansund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal County, Norway. The village is located along the Freifjorden on the southern part of the island of Frei. Aspøya
Aspøya is an artificial island in Tingvoll Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located between the Freifjorden and the Tingvollfjorden. The European route E39 highway crosses Aspøya and connects it to the nearby island of Bergsøya to the west by the Bergsøysund Bridge–part of the Krifast bridge and tunnel system which connects the town of Kristansund to the mainland. To the east, the E39 highway connects it to the Straumsnes peninsula in Tingvoll. The highest point on the island is the mountain ''Vettafjellet''. The artificial island was once a peninsula that was connected to the mainland by the narrow, wide Nålsundeidet isthmus.
