FC Pyunik
Football Club Pyunik (), commonly known as Pyunik (), is an Armenian professional sports club based in the Kentron neighbourhood of Yerevan. Pyunik is mostly known for its professional football team which, since its creation in 1992, has always played in the Armenian Premier League, becoming the most successful team of Armenia in number of official titles, with 34 won to date. Pyunik is also known to be one of the most popular football clubs in Armenia, along with Urartu, Shirak and Ararat. Pyunik has always had a fierce rivalry with Ararat, as both clubs are considered to be the most successful clubs in Armenia, the latter due to its Soviet accomplishments. Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium
Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium (), also known as the Republican Stadium (), is an all-seater stadium, all-seater multi-use stadium located on 65 Vardanants Street, in the Armenian capital Yerevan. The stadium was built between 1933 and 1935. It was officially opened in 1935 as ''Dinamo Stadium''. Further developments were implemented in 1953, after the end of World War II. It is mainly used for association football and is the home ground of the Armenia national football team. The capacity of the stadium is 14,403 seats. Armenia National Football Team
The Armenia national football team () represents Armenia in men's international football, and is controlled by the Football Federation of Armenia, the governing body for football in Armenia. After gaining independence from the Soviet Union, the team played its first international match on 12 October 1992. The national team has participated in the qualification of every major tournament from the UEFA Euro 1996 onwards, though they are yet to qualify for the final stages of either a UEFA European Football Championship or a FIFA World Cup. Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (), commonly known as HJK Helsinki (), or simply as HJK (), is a Finnish Association football, football club based in Helsinki. The club competes in Veikkausliiga, the top division of the Finnish football league system. Founded in 1907, the club has spent most of its history in the top tier of Finnish football. Homenetmen (, , short for , meaning ''Armenian General Athletic Union'') is a pan-Armenian diaspora organization devoted to sport and scouting. The motto of Homenetmen is "Rise and Raise" (Elevate Yourself and Elevate Others with You) ( ''Partsrathsir Partsratsour''). Foundation Homenetmen was founded 16 November 1918 in Constantinople present-day Istanbul. Khoren Oganesian (; born 10 January 1955), also known as Khoren Hovhannisyan, is a former Armenian and Soviet football player who played as a midfielder and currently a football manager and coach. He was awarded the Master of Sport of the USSR, International Class title in 1976. Oganesian was a member of the USSR national football team and mostly played at club level for Soviet Top League and Armenian Premier League club Ararat Yerevan. He is widely considered a legend of Ararat and Armenian football in general. In official games of the USSR championships, Oganesian had 295 matches and scored 93 goals for Ararat. Gevorg Ghazaryan (; born 5 April 1988) is an Armenian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or forward. Ghazaryan has participated in 73 international matches, scoring 14 goals since his debut on 14 January 2007. He previously played for Greek Super League clubs Olympiacos and Kerkyra, and earlier for Pyunik. Varazdat Haroyan (, born on 24 August 1992) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Armenian Premier League club Pyunik Yerevan and captains the Armenia national team. Club career Patani and Pyunik Yerevan Varazdat Haroyan was born in Yerevan, and started football at the football school Pyunik Yerevan. In 2008, he played for Patani, for whom he made 17 appearances. Edgar Manucharyan (; born 19 January 1987) is an Armenian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Ajax In early December 2004, Manucharyan joined Ajax Amsterdam. On 14 December, he took part in a friendly game against the Spanish club Barcelona playing 14 minutes before suffering a foot injury. As was later revealed in a medical examination, Manucharyan had broken the metatarsal bones in his right leg.
