Varazdat Haroyan
Varazdat Haroyan (, born on 24 August 1992) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Armenian Premier League club Pyunik Yerevan and captains the Armenia national team. Club career Patani and Pyunik Yerevan Varazdat Haroyan was born in Yerevan, and started football at the football school Pyunik Yerevan. In 2008, he played for Patani, for whom he made 17 appearances. In 2009, he made his debut as a starter for Pyunik in the Armenian Premier League match against Gandzasar in Yerevan. Haroyan came off the bench in place of Arthur Yedigaryan at 90 minutes. That season Pyunik became the 2009 Armenian Premier League champion. Starting in 2010, Haroyan had always been a team regular, and becoming the 2010 Armenian Premier League champion and the winning the 2010 Armenian Cup and 2010 Armenian Supercup. The Armenian Premier League (, known as the Armenian Fastex Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the top association football, football competition in Armenia. The 2010 Armenian Cup was the 19th season of Armenian knockout football competition. It featured only the 8 Premier League teams. The tournament started on 23 March 2010. Pyunik won their second consecutive cup with a 4–0 victory over Banants in the final. Because Pyunik qualified for the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League as league champions, Banants claimed the cup winner berth in the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League. The 2009 Armenian Premier League season was the eighteenth since its establishment. The season began on 21 March 2009 and ended on 7 November 2009. FC Pyunik were the defending champions. There were no teams promoted from the previous season of the First League. Therefore, Kilikia FC play another season in the top league. Only 8 teams were allowed to play in the 2009 Armenian Premier League. The league was played in four stages. Teams played each other four times, twice at home and twice away.
