FC Istres
Istres Football Club (; commonly referred to as simply Istres) is a French association football club based in Istres. The club was formed in 1920 and currently play their home matches at the Stade Parsemain in Fos-sur-Mer, a commune in the Arrondissement of Istres. History FC Istres was founded in 1920 by Édouard Guizonnier as SS Istréenne. In 1969, SS Istréenne was merged into the more general sports club Istres Sports, who chose to keep Istréenne's distinctive purple and black colours. In 1977 the club made young entrepreneur Michel Aviet the club's president and ex-Yugoslav goalkeeper Georges Korac the club's manager. During the Aviet-Korac years, the club advanced from France's lower amateur regional divisions all the way up to Ligue 2. In the 2004–05 season, the club reached Ligue 1 for the first time in its history but finished last and was relegated to Ligue 2. Stade Parsemain is a Multi-purpose stadium in Fos-sur-Mer, France. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of FC Istres. The stadium is able to hold 12,500 people and was built in 2005. References

Valenciennes Football Club (; commonly known as Valenciennes, VA or VAFC) is a French professional football club based in Valenciennes. The club was founded in 1914 and currently play in Championnat National, the third tier of French football. Valenciennes plays its home matches at the recently built Stade du Hainaut located within the city. Valenciennes was founded under the name Union Sportive de Valenciennes Anzin (USVA). The club spent over 80 years playing under the name before switching to its current name. Valenciennes has spent an almost equal amount of time playing in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 having played 40 seasons in the first division and 36 seasons in the second division. 2008–09 Championnat National
The 2008–09 Championnat National was the 16th edition of the 3rd division league. Play commenced on 1 August 2008 and ended on 29 May 2009. Vannes OC, Tours FC, and Nîmes Olympique were promoted to Ligue 2, replacing Chamois Niortais, FC Libourne-Saint-Seurin, and FC Gueugnon who were relegated from Ligue 2. Villemomble Sports, Pau FC, FC Martigues and SO Romorantin were relegated to the CFA, and promoted from the CFA were Pacy Vallée-d'Eure from Group A, Croix de Savoie Gaillard from Group B, SO Cassis Carnoux from Group C, and Aviron Bayonnais FC from Group D. Foued Kadir (born 5 December 1983) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Championnat National 2 club Istres. Born in France, Kadir was a member of the Algeria national team at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He scored two goals in twenty-five games for Algeria.
