Hanns Heinz Ewers (3 November 1871 – 12 June 1943) was a German actor, poet, philosopher, and writer of short stories and novels. While he wrote on a wide range of subjects, he is now known mainly for his works of horror, particularly his trilogy of novels about the adventures of Frank Braun, a character modeled on himself. Quinn Tucker Ewers (; born March 15, 2003) is an American professional football quarterback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Texas Longhorns. Ewers was selected by the Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft. Early life Ewers was born on March 15, 2003, in San Antonio, Texas. He spent his early years in Pleasanton, Texas, before his family moved to Southlake, Texas, when he was eight. Ewers attended Carroll Senior High School, where he played football under coach Riley Dodge and also previously played baseball. Anna Luisa Ewers (; born 14 March 1993) is a German fashion model. She was featured on the 2015 Pirelli Calendar. In 2015, Models.com reported that she was chosen as Model of the Year by the fashion industry. Johann Philipp Gustav von Ewers or Evers (27 July 1779 – 20 November 1830) was a German legal historian and the founder of Russian legal history as a scholarly discipline. Ewers was a farmer’s son from the village of Amelunxen (now a part of Beverungen) in the Bishopric of Paderborn. He first studied theology and then political science at the University of Göttingen. His first employment, as was customary for a graduate from a poor background, was as a private tutor. This brought him to the Russian Empire, Imperial Russian province of Livonia, where he was to remain for the rest of his life. While teaching, he pursued his scholarly interests, especially regarding Russian political and legal history, which became one of his main fields of study – one indeed of which he is often regarded the founder. Marisa Henrike Ewers is a German former footballer who played as a defender for Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburger SV. She is currently General Manager of Aston Villa Women. Ewers started playing football at the age of eight. In 2006, she joined Bundesliga club Hamburger SV where she first played for the reserve team in the second German division Since 2007, Ewers had been part of the Bundesliga team. Oberleutnant Walter Ewers (11 May 1892 – 15 May 1918) was a World War I flying ace credited with eight aerial victories. Early life Walter Ewers was born in Lübeck, Germany on 11 May 1892. World War I Ewers began military service as an artilleryman in Bavaria's Field Artillery Regiment Number 7. At some point, he transferred to the ''Luftstreitkräfte''. After aviation training, he was assigned to Flieger-Abteilung 26 to serve in two-seaters. He was upgraded to piloting a fighter plane, transferring to Jasta 8. After a further transfer to Jasta 12 in 1917, he scored his first three aerial successes against the Royal Flying Corps, downing a couple of Airco DH.5s from No. 41 Squadron RFC and a Sopwith Pup from No. 46 Squadron RFC. Ezra (fl. fifth or fourth century BCE) is the main character of the Book of Ezra. According to the Hebrew Bible, he was an important Jewish scribe (''sofer'') and priest (''kohen'') in the early Second Temple period.
