2023 Giro D'Italia Donne
The 2023 Giro Donne was the 34th edition of the Giro Donne, a women's road cycling stage race that took place in Italy. The race began on the 30 June and ended on 9 July 2023. It was the 20th race in the 2023 UCI Women's World Tour calendar. The race was won by Annemiek van Vleuten of Movistar Team for the fourth time, beating Juliette Labous by nearly four minutes. Van Vleuten also won the points and mountains classifications, with Gaia Realini winning the youth classification and the Italian rider classification. Teams 24 teams participated in the race. Each team had seven riders, one more than the 2022 edition. All 15 UCI Women's WorldTeams were automatically invited. The 2022 Itzulia Women was a women's cycle stage race that was held in the Basque Country from 13 to 15 May 2022. The 2022 edition of the race was the first running of the Itzulia Women, being held as part of the UCI Women's World Tour. The race was won by Dutch rider Demi Vollering of SD Worx, who won all three stages of the event. Route The race used the hilly landscape of the Basque Country, with thirteen categorised climbs over the 3 stages, including the famed Jaizkibel climb (7.9km at 5.6%) used in the Clásica de San Sebastián. The 2022 Tour de France Femmes (officially Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift) was the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes, one of women's cycling's two grand tours. The race took place from 24 to 31 July 2022, and was the 16th event in the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour. The race followed years of campaigning by the women's professional peloton for an equivalent race to the men's Tour de France, after historic attempts failed due to financial difficulties, limited media coverage and trademark issues. The 2022 The Women's Tour was the eighth staging of The Women's Tour, a women's cycling stage race held in Great Britain. It ran from 6 to 11 June 2022, as part of the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour. The race was won by Elisa Longo Borghini of Trek–Segafredo, by a margin of just 1 second. Route The route was announced in spring 2022, with stage 5 having a mountain top finish on Black Mountain in the Brecon Beacons in Wales. The finish was noted to be the hardest mountain top finish of a Women's Tour, with an average gradient of 5.3%. Summary 97 riders from 17 teams were entered in the race, with 13 of the teams being from the UCI Women's World Tour. For the first time, all stages were broadcast live. United States National Time Trial Championships
The United States National Time Trial Championships are held annually to decide the American champions in this cycling discipline, across various age and gender categories. Originally, in 1975, the time trial event distance was 25 miles. It later changed to 40 km, and still later changed to the current distance of 32.3 km (20.1 miles). The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey which is red, white and blue, just like the national flag, these colors can be worn by the rider at other time trialling events in the country to show their status as national champion. The champion's stripes can be combined into a sponsored rider's team kit design for this purpose.
