''Euro-Country'' (stylised in all caps) is the upcoming third studio album by the Irish musician CMAT. It will be released on 29 August 2025 through CMATBaby and AWAL. Background On 25 March 2025, CMAT announced her third studio album ''Euro-Country'', in which she also released the album's lead single "Running/Planning". She describes the album as the "type of loss, pain and lack of community that she feels that are suffering from under modern capital isolation" and the "best thing she has ever made". On 7 May 2025, the album's second single " Take A Sexy Picture of Me" was released. Its video received over 1 million views in less than one month. On 19 June, CMAT released "The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station” as the promotional single from the album. On 22 July 2025, the single "Euro-Country" was released. Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson (born 23 February 1996), known professionally as CMAT (, ), is an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician. ''The Guardian'' wrote of her music, "Her songs are mournful yet accessible, emotionally literate and cleverly crafted, but, crucially, with a huge sense of humour..." Her third album, Euro-Country, will be released on 29 August 2025. Early life CMAT was born on 23 February 1996 in Dublin, and moved with her family to Clonee and Dunboyne in County Meath as a child. She returned to Dublin to study at Trinity College Dublin, but later dropped out and moved to Denmark for three months to attend a songwriting camp. Career CMAT, who had aspirations to become a professional musician from a young age, relocated to Manchester, England, to pursue a career in music with her then boyfriend, performing together as Bad Sea. Glastonbury Festival 2025
The 2025 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts took place between 25 and 29 June at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Glastonbury, and follows the 2024 edition of the festival. The three headlining acts were the 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, with Rod Stewart performing in the traditional Sunday Legends slot. It was the final edition of the festival before a fallow year, with the next Glastonbury festival to be held in 2027. Background Rod Stewart was announced at Glastonbury's 2025 teatime Legend's Slot performer on 26 November 2024. Stewart made his only previous appearance at the festival in 2002 when he headlined alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics. A few days later on 29 November, Nile Rodgers accidentally confirmed that he and Chic would be performing at the festival immediately following Stewart's set during his acceptance speech at an awards show held at the Roundhouse in London. Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with a DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. In typography, text or font in all caps (short for "all capitals") contains capital letters without any lowercase letters.
