Damir Kajin
Damir Kajin (born 3 February 1962) is a Croatian politician. Born in Koper, he grew up in Buzet where he completed elementary school subsequently attending high school in Rijeka. Before starting his political career as the president of the Istria County Assembly in 1993, Kajin worked in Istrian water supply company for 12 years. He remained president of the assembly until 2001.;In 1995 he was elected member of the Croatian Parliament where he served multiple mandates. Kajin was the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) candidate in the 2009 Croatian presidential election. He won 3.87% of the vote in the first round and was eliminated. In 2013, Kajin was expelled from IDS. In 2014, he founded a new party, Istrian Democrats (). In 2016, he left the Istrian Democrats. 2009–10 Croatian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Croatia on 27 December 2009 and 10 January 2010. Twelve candidates participated in the first round, prior to a run-off between first-round winner Ivo Josipović and runner-up Milan Bandić. Ivo Josipović
Ivo Josipović (; born 28 August 1957) is a Croatia, Croatian Academic staff, academic, jurist, composer, and politician who served as the president of Croatia from 2010 to 2015. Josipović entered politics as a member of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia (SKJ), and played a key role in the democratic transformation of the League of Communists of Croatia (SKH) into the Social Democratic Party of Croatia, Social Democratic Party (SDP) as the author of its first statute. He left politics in 1994, but returned in 2003, winning a seat in the Croatian Parliament running as an Independent politician, independent candidate on the SDP party list. 2021 Croatian Local Elections
The first round of the 2021 Croatian local elections were held on 16 May and the Two-round system, second round, where necessary, on 30 May.
