Croc (series)
''Croc'' is a video game series developed by Argonaut Software and published by Fox Interactive. It consists of two main games, plus three mobile games. A third main game was proposed but cancelled as Argonaut was "going through a rough patch", and an animated TV series based on the video game series was proposed by Fox Interactive but never came into fruition. By January 2001, the series had sold over 2.4 million copies worldwide on the PlayStation and Game Boy Color platforms. Platform Game
A platformer (also called a platform game, and sometimes a jump 'n' run game) is a subgenre of action game in which the core objective is to move the player character between points in an environment. ''Croc 2'' is a 1999 platform game developed by Argonaut Software and published by Fox Interactive. The sequel to '' Croc: Legend of the Gobbos'', it revolves around the title character going on a quest to search for his missing parents, as well as saving the Inventor Gobbo from a revived Baron Dante. ''Croc 2'' was released for the Sony PlayStation in 1999, and for Windows in 2000. A 2D adaptation for the Game Boy Color was released in 2001. A port of the game for the Dreamcast was also planned but ultimately cancelled. Jez San
Jeremy Elliott "Jez" San OBE (born 29 March 1966) is an English game programmer and entrepreneur who founded Argonaut Software as a teenager in the 1980s. He is best known for the 1986 Atari ST game ''Starglider'' and helping to design the Super FX chip used in ''Star Fox'' for the Super NES. Early career San received his first computer, a TRS-80, at the age of twelve in 1978 from his father, who had a career in shipping the belongings of immigrants at the time. San first became interested in video game development at a young age after playing a multi-user dungeon (MUD) in the 1970s. Within a year he taught himself assembly language for several microprocessors. San founded Argonaut Software as a teenager in high school at JFS as a way to get software consulting jobs with large companies. He worked on security systems with British Telecom and Acorn.
