Craig Derbyshire (born 2 July 1991) is an English professional boxer who has held the Commonwealth light-flyweight title since 8 December 2023. He is also a two-time former English super-flyweight champion. Career Having transitioned from Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai into boxing in 2014, Derbyshire lost his first nine pro-fights. He had compiled a record of four wins, 20 loses and three draws when he defeated Anthony Smith on points to claim the vacant Central Area super-flyweight title at Leigh Sports Village on 10 June 2017. Bolton ( , locally ) is a town in Greater Manchester in England. Magna Science Adventure Centre
Magna Science Adventure Centre is an educational visitor attraction in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. Location The site used to be home to the Steel, Peech and Tozer steelworks (also known as Steelos). In 50 AD it was the site of the Templeborough Roman fort. The principal exhibits are divided into four pavilions: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. There is also an outdoor Sci-Tek play area, and Aqua-Tek water play area. The 1/3 mile long site is often used for staging events, conferences and performances. It won the Enjoy England Gold Award for Business Tourism in 2006. The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) is the governing body of professional boxing in the United Kingdom. History The British Boxing Board of Control was formed in 1929 from the old National Sporting Club and is headquartered in Cardiff. Until 1948, it had a colour bar in effect by means of its Rule 24, which stated that title contestants "must have two white parents". The British Boxing Board of Control initially refused to grant Jane Couch a professional licence on the sole ground that she was a woman, and argued that PMS made women too unstable to box. Houghton-le-Spring ( ) is a town in the Sunderland district, in Tyne and Wear, England which has its recorded origins in Norman times. Joseph Maphosa (born 7 April 1994) is a Zimbabwe-born British professional boxer. Early life Joseph Maphosa was born on 7 April 1994 in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe, where he grew up with his parents and two brothers. The Connexin Live (formerly Bonus Arena) is an indoor arena in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, near the Hull Marina. It opened in August 2018 and has hosted music, comedy, and sports events. Construction The venue was built on a brownfield site, between the Humber Estuary and Hull City Centre.
