Cienne Cruz
Cienne Mary Arielle Ramos Cruz-Guenther (born October 18, 1994) is a Filipino volleyball player. She was a member of the De La Salle Lady Spikers collegiate women's volleyball team. Cruz attended Hope Christian High School before going on to play for De La Salle University. She last played for the Petro Gazz Angels in the Premier Volleyball League. Personal life She has a twin sister named Camille who became her teammate on the Lady Spikers. Her older sister Charleen served as captain of the Lady Spikers from 2010 to 2012. She married her fiancé, Peter Guenther in October 2023. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference
The 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference was the tenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its first conference as a professional league. The conference started on July 17, 2021 and ended on August 13, 2021, at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte in a bubble. The PVL has been approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to begin team practices to be followed by the official start of the 2021 season. In January 2021, it was reported that Motolite filed a leave of absence from the league and released all of its players. The Philippine Army Lady Troopers will participate as a guest team. The 2023 Premier Volleyball League First All-Filipino Conference was the fourteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its fifth conference as a professional league. The tournament began on February 4, 2023, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. Formerly known as the Open Conference, the conference was rebranded as the "All-Filipino Conference" to better reflect the fact that the tournament's participation is restricted to Filipino players, including Filipino-Foreigners. The 2022 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the thirteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its fourth conference as a professional league. The tournament began on October 8 and finished on December 6, 2022. This is the first reinforced conference in three years, since the last reinforced was commenced way back in 2019. 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference
The 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference was the eleventh conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its second conference as a professional league. The conference was held from March 16 to April 8, 2022, pending restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. A pool play format will be adapted for the first time wherein teams will be divided into two pools as opposed to a round-robin format where all teams play against each other at least once. Preliminary round was held at the Paco Arena in Manila. Quarterfinal round and Semifinals Game 1 & 3 was held at the San Juan Arena in San Juan. The 2021 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season was the fourth season of the Premier Volleyball League and the first season of the PVL as a professional league. No tournament was held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2021 season was staged with precautionary measures.
