Christoph Reintjes is a German professional pool player. He is best well known for being the runner-up at the 2017 Dutch Open. Career Reintjes first competed in Euro Tour events in 2007, where he reached the last 32 in his first professional competition, at the 2007 German Open. He would play Tony Drago, but lose 9-10. He would enter three competitions this season, but would only make the knockout round on this occasion. In 2008, he would once again reach the knockout rounds of Euro Tour events, at the Swiss and Austrian Opens, losing to Marcus Chamat 8–9, and Bruno Muratore 5–9. A year later, Reintjes went further at the 2009 French Open. He would defeat Imran Majid 9–8 in the last 32, before losing to Mark Gray 9–3 in the last 16. Following 2009, Reintjes would take a sabbatical from pool, only playing in the 2011 Hungary Open before 2017. However, in 2017, he would play in the 2017 Leende Open. Nine-ball (sometimes written 9-ball) is a discipline of the cue sport pool. The game's origins are traceable to the 1920s in the United States. It is played on a rectangular billiard table with at each of the four corners and in the middle of each long side. Using a cue stick, players must strike the white cue ball to nine colored billiard balls, hitting them in ascending numerical order. An individual game (or ) is won by the player pocketing the . Joshua Filler (born 2 October 1997) is a German pool player from Bönen, Germany. In 2018 Filler defeated Carlo Biado 13–10 to win the 2018 WPA World Nine-ball Championship. The same year he was the youngest player to win the China Open and 2018 10-ball European Pool Championships. Filler became WPA and Euro Tour world number 1 in 2019, and later reached the final of the 2019 WPA World Ten-ball Championship before losing 10–7 to Ko Ping-chung. World Cup Of Pool
The World Cup of Pool is an annual international single-elimination tournament for doubles teams in nine-ball pool competition. The event has been dominated by the Philippines and China, with both nations winning the event on three occasions. History The tournament is held annually, at various locations, and was first held in 2006 in Newport, Wales. The tournament is hosted by Matchroom Pool. Format There are usually 32 participating teams, representing 31 nations (the host nation is represented by two teams, A and B) composed of two players each. The participating nations do not have to go through a qualifying tournament in order to join, as they are selected by the organizers. Ruslan Yuryevich Chinakhov (russian: Руслан Юрьевич Чинахов; born 25 January 1992) is a Russian professional primarily nine-ball pool player. Ruslan was the world nine-ball Juniors champion in 2009. Chinakhov has won several events, including the Euro Tour '' Dutch Open 2017'', defeating Christoph Reintjes in the final. Albin Alois Ouschan (born August 14, 1990, in Klagenfurt, Austria) is an Austrian pool and billiards player. Ouschan was the 2016 WPA World Nine-ball Championship winner, as well as the runner-up in 2014. He also won the 14.1 Continuous European championship the same year. Niels Feijen (born 3 February 1977, The Hague) is a Dutch professional pool player, from the Hague. His nickname is "the Terminator". In 2014 he won the WPA World 9-ball championship. Nick van den Berg (born 24 May 1980) is a Dutch professional pool player. He was the runner up at the 2005 WPA World Eight-ball Championship, where he lost to Wu Chia-ching 11–5 in the final. He is a multiple time winner of events on the Euro Tour, winning 10 tournaments between 2002 and 2017, the fourth highest in the history of the tour.
