Andrea del Castagno () or Andrea di Bartolo di Bargilla (; – 19 August 1457) was an Italian Renaissance painting, Italian Renaissance painter in Florence, influenced chiefly by Masaccio and Giotto, Giotto di Bondone. His works include frescoes in Sant'Apollonia in Florence and the painted equestrian monument of Niccolò da Tolentino (1456) in Florence Cathedral. He in turn influenced the School of Ferrara, Ferrarese school of Cosmè Tura, Francesco del Cossa and Ercole de' Roberti. Armando Castagna
Armando Castagna (born 22 September 1963) is a former Italian international motorcycle speedway rider. He was a member of the Italy national team and has represented them in several World Team Cup competitions. He is a record 12 times Italian Champion. Career Castagna was born in Arzignano and rode in the United Kingdom for the Ipswich Witches and Oxford Cheetahs but he spent the majority of his career with the Reading Racers where he won the British League title twice and was part of the Reading team that won the Fours championship in 1993. He rode in the first of his five world finals in 1985. He has ridden in the Speedway Grand Prix series and has reached five Speedway World Championship finals. On 26 July 1997 he won the Continental Final, which formed part of the 1998 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification. Filippo Castagna (, 19 November 1765 – 26 January 1830) was a Maltese people, Maltese politician of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Castagna was born in Għaxaq on 19 November 1765. During the French occupation of Malta in 1798, he was chosen as a representative of the municipality of Żurrieq, Safi, Malta, Safi, Kirkop and Gudja. When a Siege of Malta (1798–1800), rebellion against French rule broke out in September 1798, Castagna supported the rebel cause and he was involved in the capture of Saint Thomas Tower from the French. On 18 February 1799, he was elected as a representative of Gudja to the rebel ''Consiglio Popolare''. He was also appointed as inspector of Fortifications of Malta, fortifications by the British Civil Commissioner Alexander Ball. Michele Paco Castagna (born 4 March 1994) is an Italian international speedway rider. Speedway career Castagna is four times Italian Champion, winning the Italian Individual Speedway Championship in 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024. He has also won the Italian Junior Championship three times (2011, 2012, 2014). He has ridden in the British Speedway leagues since 2015, riding for various clubs, including Ipswich Witches in 2016. Carrozzeria Castagna is an Italian coachbuilder, coachbuilding company based in Milan, Italy. History Sources provide very different information about the company's origins. Some internet sources believe that it was founded in 1849 by Carlo Castagna. According to another account, the company goes back to the Milanese carriage manufacturer Paolo Mainetti, who was founded in 1835.
