Carlo Ripa Di Meana
Carlo Ripa di Meana (15 August 1929 – 2 March 2018) was an Italian politician. He was a Member of the European Parliament, a European Commissioner with portfolio for the environment and was environment minister of Italy. He was the leader of the Italian Greens and president of the organization Italia Nostra. Early life Ripa di Meana was born on 15 August 1929 in Pietrasanta, Tuscany. His father was Marquis Giulio Ripa di Meana, high official of the grenadiers, while his mother was Fulvia Schanzer, daughter of the senator and minister Carlo Schanzer. He brought noble titles of noblemen of the Marquis of Giaglione, Marquis of Meana, lord of Alteretto and Losa, noble of the lords of the Marquisate of Ceva. Luigi Calabresi (14 November 1937 – 17 May 1972) was an Italian ''Polizia di Stato'' officer in Milan. Giuseppe Pinelli
Giuseppe "Pino" Pinelli (21 October 1928 – 15 December 1969) was an Italian railroad worker and anarchist, who died while being detained by the ''Polizia di Stato'' in 1969. Pinelli was a member of the Milan-based anarchist association named Ponte della Ghisolfa. He was also the secretary of the Italian branch of the Anarchist Black Cross. His death, believed by many to have been caused by members of the police, inspired Nobel Prize laureate Dario Fo to write his famous play titled '' Accidental Death of an Anarchist''. Marquisate Of Ceva
The Marquisate of Ceva was a small independent state in north-western Italy, situated at the foot of the Apennines, with its seat at Ceva, in what is now a part of Piedmont. Establishment The marquisate was created in 1125 at the death of Boniface del Vasto, of the Aleramici family, his son Anselmo becoming the first marquis of the newly formed state. He subsequently acquired a part of the province Clavesana from his brother Ugo, but at Anselmo's death Ceva (assigned to his son Guglielmo) was again divided from Clavesana, which went to the other son Bonifacio. Carlo Schanzer
Carlo Schanzer (18 December 1865 – 23 October 1953) was a Vienna-born Italian jurist and politician. He held several cabinet posts from 1906 to 1922. Early life and education Schanzer was born in Vienna on 18 December 1865. His father was a Polish-born business lawyer, and his mother was a pianist. Schanzer had three siblings. His brother Ottone was a librettist and the other, Roberto, was an engineer and mathematician while his sister, Alice, married Tancredi Galimberti, a well-known poet and writer. In the 1870s the family moved to Milan and then to Rome. After graduating from a high school in Rome Schanze received a bachelor's degree in law in November 1886.
