''Bleachers'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Bleachers, released on March 8, 2024. It is the band's first album under Dirty Hit and their own label, Bleachers Band Recordings, having departed from former label RCA Records in August 2023. It is also the first Bleachers album with longtime touring musicians Mikey Freedom Hart, Sean Hutchinson, Evan Smith, Michael Riddleberger, and Zem Audu credited as official members. The album was preceded by the release of four singles: "Modern Girl", "Alma Mater", "Tiny Moves", and "Me Before You". A deluxe edition of the album was released in May 2024. ''Bleachers'' received generally favorable reviews from music critics and peaked within the top five in Scotland (number three) and the United Kingdom (number five) and at number 62 in the United States. Bleachers is an American Rock music, rock band from New Jersey, formed in 2013 by musician Jack Antonoff. Antonoff was the only permanent member of the group until 2023, when longtime touring musicians Mikey Freedom Hart, Sean Hutchinson, Evan Smith, Michael Riddleberger, and Zem Audu became official members. Bleachers' early music was heavily influenced by the late 1980s and early 1990s, plus the high school-based films of John Hughes (filmmaker), John Hughes while still using modern production techniques. Mikey Freedom Hart
Mikey Freedom Hart is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He has worked with Bleachers, Taylor Swift, Empress Of, Dev Hynes a.k.a. Blood Orange, ASAP Rocky, Lana Del Rey, Tei Shi, and The Chicks. He has received three Grammy Award nominations, winning twice. A classically trained pianist, Hart has performed and recorded with various musical instruments. He now currently plays live for Bleachers and Blood Orange. Life and career Hart was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana where he attended Barbe High School followed by McNeese State University. He started learning piano classically at age three, grew up performing and singing in church. He then moved to New York City at the age of 16.
