Bjärred (, outdatedly ) is a coastal urban areas of Sweden, locality situated in Lomma Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden. It is situated about 20 km north of Malmö, 10 km west of Lund and 5 km north of Lomma village. With 9,874 inhabitants in 2016, it is the second largest locality in Lomma Municipality and accounts for around 41% of its inhabitants. Bjärred largely serves as a suburb of Malmö and Lund. Among the sights in the town is the open-air swimming-baths, situated 500 meters out on the jetty ''Långa bryggan''. History The name Bjärred is thought to come from the Danish word ''bjerg'', which means height or hill, and may refer to the height at which the settlement appears when viewed from the sea. The town grew up as a seaside resort for the nearby city of Lund during the 1800s. The construction of an 11-km long railway between Lund and Bjärred began in 1899, and the railway opened for traffic on July 27, 1901. The railway was electrified in 1916, ... Patrik Jonas Andersson (; born 18 August 1971) is a Swedish former professional association football, footballer who played as a defender (association football), defender. Starting off his career with Malmö FF in the late 1980s, he went on to play professionally in England, Germany, and Spain, and won the 2000–01 UEFA Champions League with FC Bayern Munich, Bayern Munich. Lomma Municipality
Lomma Municipality () is a municipality in Skåne County in southern Sweden, about 10 km north of Malmö. Its seat is located in Lomma with secondary locality Bjärred being of almost equal population size. The present municipality was created through the amalgamation of the market town ''Lomma'' and the rural municipality ''Flädie''. It took place in 1963, between the two nationwide local government reforms of 1952 and 1971. Geography The small municipality borders to Kävlinge Municipality, Burlöv Municipality, Staffanstorp Municipality and Lund Municipality. As Burlöv also is notably small, Lomma Municipality almost borders to Malmö Municipality too. It is situated by Öresund, at the inlet of the small river Höje å. Along the river lies a yacht marina. Susanna "Sanna" Persson Halapi (born 18 August 1974 in Kävlinge, Sweden) is a Swedish comedian and actress. Persson began her career as a comedian in a Lund student comedy ensemble. She belonged to the first generation of the female ensemble Boelspexarna and has also participated in several carnivals, including a major role in the carnival film "The Handyman and the Professor" (2002). In Sweden, she is probably best known from the TV series "HippHipp" (in which she played Lithuanian Jolanta, hostess of "Swedish Celebrity Travels"), "Extra allt" and "Anders och Måns".
