Birmingham Panthers (netball)
Birmingham Panthers is an English netball team based in Birmingham which plays in the Netball Superleague. The franchise was added in 2025 as one of two new entries in the relaunched “NSL 2.0”, which aims to professionalise the league. History The franchise was announced in 2024, alongside Nottingham Forest netball, as a new team for the relaunched Netball Superleague. Severn Stars, based in Worcester, which had been a member of the league since 2017 was disbanded the same year with Jo Trip the former Stars coach announced as Panthers head coach. In 2025 Knighthead Capital Management, a US asset management firm, which owns Birmingham City F.C. announced its investment in the team. Gabrielle "Gabby" Sinclair (born 12 July 1993) is an Australian netball player in the Netball Super League league, playing for the Birmingham Panthers. Gabby Marshall
Gabriella (Gabby) Marshall is a former member of the England National Netball Team team who played centre for Manchester Thunder, London Mavericks, Severn Stars and Birmingham Panthers in the Netball superleague. Following her second concussion of the season, she announced her retirement from top-level netball in early May 2025. Netball career Marshall was born on 9 April 1996. She attended Aquinas College, Stockport and then obtained a degree in physiotherapy from the Manchester Metropolitan University. She started to play netball at the age of five at the Oldham Netball Club, where her elder sister was already playing. She played for Oldham before joining the Manchester Thunder in the Superleague in 2013. Michelle Magee (born 13 January 2000) is a Northern Ireland netball international and an Antrim ladies' Gaelic footballer. She was a member of the Northern Ireland teams at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2019 Netball World Cup. Her older sister, Emma Magee, is also a Northern Ireland netball international and an Antrim ladies' Gaelic footballer. Severn Stars are an netball in England, English netball team based at the University of Worcester. The team is named after the River Severn, which runs through Worcester, England, Worcester and Gloucester, the original home cities of the two universities.
