Besim Üstünel (1927 – June 2, 2015) was an academic in economics, politician and former Minister of Finance of Turkey. Family life and early years Besim Üstünel was born to Emin Üstünel and his wife Zekiye in Gaziantep, Southeastern Turkey in 1927. He had four sisters Nermin, Saadet, Sema, Aysen and six brothers Ahmet, Cevat, Rasim Daşar, Mesut, Gündüz, Erol. Besim Sahatçiu (; 2 October 193520 October 2005) was a Kosovo Albanian director of theatre and film. Biography After finishing '' gymnasium'' in Peja, Sahatçiu studied literature at the University of Belgrade. Following the interruption of his studies due to compulsory military service, he worked as a translator for the publisher, '' Rilindja''. He later studied at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, Croatia, and defended his thesis with staging Gogol's satirical play, ''The Government Inspector'', at People's Provincial Theatre in Pristina. Sahatçiu's ethnographic film, ''117'', won the Grand Prix at the Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival in 1978. Besim Muzaqi (born 5 December 1979) is a politician in Kosovo. He was the deputy mayor of Vushtrri from 2017 to 2021 and has been a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo since 2021. Besim Mala (14 August 1971 – 17 April 2000) was one of the most well known commandants of Kosovo Liberation Army and the first Commander of the Special Force in the Kosovo Protection Corps, who was killed under suspicious circumstances as part of a killing series in the early 2000s. Besim Kabashi (27 February 1976 – 4 December 2011) was a Kosovar-German kickboxer who competed in the light heavyweight, cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions.
