Bairak, Izium Raion
Bairak (; ) is a village in Izium Raion (district) in Kharkiv Oblast of eastern Ukraine, at about south-east from the centre of Kharkiv city, on the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets river. The village came under attack by Russian forces in 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine On 24 February 2022, in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which began in 2014. The Seversky Donets () or Siverskyi Donets (), usually simply called the Donets, is a river on the south of the East European Plain.
