Censuses in Ukraine () is a sporadic event that since 2001 has been conducted by the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine under the jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ukraine, Government of Ukraine. History The first steps The first official census in the territory of Ukraine took place in 1818 when Western Ukraine was part of the Austrian Empire. However a modern census did not take place until 1857. Since then the next censuses took place in the dual-power state of the Austria-Hungary in 1869, 1880, 1890, 1900, 1910. Those last five censuses also included the territory of the today Zakarpattia Oblast which was part of the Kingdom of Hungary. The further censuses discontinued as the country fell apart. The rest of Ukraine which was part of Russian Empire conducted its first census as part of the 1897 Russian Census. Oleh Mykolayovych Nemchinov (; born 1 May 1977 in Lviv) is a Ukrainian civil servant and politician. On 4 March 2020, he was appointed as the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers. Biography Nemchinov studied at the University of Lviv (1999). He graduated from the Ternopil National Economic University (2003). Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration. From 1999 to 2002, he worked at the Lviv City Council. From 2009 to 2010, he also worked in the Lviv Regional State Administration. It is there where he met and worked with future Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. From 2003 to 2006, he was an assistant to a People's Deputy of Ukraine. From 2017 to 2020, Nemchinov served as Secretary of State for the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Serhiy Tihipko
Serhiy Leonidovych Tihipko (; born 13 February 1960) is a Ukrainian businessman and politician who was Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine. After founding the TAS Group conglomerate in 1998, Tihipko was Minister of Economics in 2000 and subsequently served as Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine from 2002 to 2004.
