Hebrew Language
Hebrew (; ; ) is a Northwest Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family. Historically, it is one of the spoken languages of the Israelites and their longest-surviving descendants, the Jews and Samaritans. It was largely preserved throughout history as the main liturgical language of Judaism (since the Second Temple period) and Samaritanism. Hebrew is the only Canaanite language still spoken today, and serves as the only truly successful example of a dead language that has been revived. It is also one of only two Northwest Semitic languages still in use, with the other being Aramaic. The earliest examples of written Paleo-Hebrew date back to the 10th century BCE. Aviad Frydman (born February 9, 1964) is a professor in the Department of Physics, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel. He has been the Chairman of the Department of Physics since 2022. His research focuses on the experimental study of electronic properties in Two-dimensional semiconductor, low dimensional and Amorphous metal, disordered systems. Biography Aviad Frydman was born in Melbourne, Australia. He graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with Highest Distinction. Aviad Hacohen
Aviad Hacohen (Hebrew:אביעד הכהן; born 1962) is an Israeli attorney and professor of law. Biography Aviad Hacohen is the son of Rabbi Menachem Hacohen, who was a Labor party member of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), and Devorah Hacohen, a historian at Bar-Ilan University. Hacohen studied at Netiv Meir yeshiva high school and afterwards at Yeshivat Har Etzion and Yeshivat HaKotel. He served in the Israel Defense Forces in a hesder program combining yeshiva studies with army service. He received his BA in law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1989. In 1991, Hacohen began to teach as an assistant in the law school of the Hebrew University while studying for an MA in law, which he received cum laude in 1993. In 1995 he began to teach Jewish law and communications law at Bar Ilan University. Aviad Yafeh (, 12 September 1923 – 19 May 1977) was an Israeli diplomat and politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the Alignment between 1972 and 1977. Biography Born in Rehovot in 1923, Yafeh's family moved to Jerusalem a month after his birth, and were amongst the founders of the Beit HaKerem neighbourhood.
