Anne Will
Anne Will (born 18 March 1966) is a German television journalist and host of the eponymous political talk show. She was anchorwoman of the daily '' Tagesthemen'' news broadcast on ARD from 14 April 2001 until 24 June 2007. Early life and career Will was born on 18 March 1966 in Cologne, West Germany, the daughter of an architect. She grew up in Hürth and attended the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium high school. From 1985 she studied history, politics, and English in Cologne and Berlin, with a scholarship of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES). Whilst a student she had articles published in the ''Kölnische Rundschau'' and ''Berliner Volksblatt'' newspapers. In 1990 she graduated with a Magister's degree from the University of Cologne. German Federal Election, 2013
Federal elections were held on 22 September to elect the members of the 18th Bundestag of Germany. At stake were all 598 seats to the Bundestag, plus 33 overhang seats determined thereafter. The Christian Democratic Union of Germany/Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CDU/CSU) of incumbent chancellor Angela Merkel won their best result since 1990 with nearly 42% of the vote and nearly 50% of the seats, just five short for an overall majority. The Free Democratic Party (FDP) failed to meet the 5% vote electoral threshold in what was their worst showing ever in a federal election, denying them seats in the Bundestag for the first time in their history. Peer Steinbrück (born 10 January 1947) is a German politician who was the Chancellor-candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in the 2013 federal election. Maybrit Illner (née Klose; born 12 January 1965) is a German journalist and television presenter. Education Born in East Berlin, Illner went to school in the Friedrichshain area of Berlin and studied journalism at the University of Leipzig from 1984 to 1988. Caren Miosga (born 11 April 1969 in Peine) is a German journalist and television presenter. Early life and education Caren Miosga grew up in Groß Ilsede, Lower Saxony, and attended the local grammar school. She studied history and Slavic studies in Hamburg. Miosga is fluent in Russian as she worked as a tour guide in Saint Petersburg and Moscow during her studies.
