Al Urooba
Al Orooba Club () is a United Arab Emirates professional football club based in the city of Mirbah and Qidfa, Fujairah. The club currently plays in the UAE Pro League. History In 1960, two clubs were founded in Mirbah and Qidfa, Al Wehda in Mirbah and Al Najma in Qidfa, both clubs were financially weak and by 1972, both clubs agreed to merge under the name Al Urooba to represent the Mirbah-Qidfa area of the Emirate of Fujairah. The UAE Pro League (), also known as the ADNOC Pro League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the highest level of the Emirati football league system. The first team to win the title was Al Orouba (Sharjah), whilst Al Ain has the record with 14 league titles to their name. Fourteen clubs compete in the league that operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the First Division League. The League was founded in 1973 as the UAE Football League. The first 1973–74 season was a "trial" championship but was declared official by the UAE FA in 2001. In February 2007, the Pro League Committee was formed, and became the organising body of the league. Lucas de Souza Mombra Rosa (born 20 October 2001), commonly known as Lucas Mezenga, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for UAE Pro League club Al-Urooba. The COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The first confirmed case in the United Arab Emirates was announced on 29 January 2020. It was the first country in the Middle East to report a confirmed case. The 2021–22 UAE Pro League was the 47th edition of the UAE Pro League. Al Jazira are the defending champions after clinching their third title in the final day of last season. Al Ain would win its fourteenth title after beating the defending champions Al Jazira 5–0 the eleventh of May. 2019–20 UAE Division one was the 44th Division one season. Team changes for the season include Al Bataeh who joined the league, while Hatta and Khor Fakkan was promoted to the UAE Pro League, while Dibba Al Fujairah and Emirates were relegated. However, the season was cancelled with 12 out of 14 UAE Pro League clubs voting in favour of cancelling the season and not a single division one club had a say on the matter. The decision was done due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates and no team were rewarded with promotion.
